I saw this act live and it was brilliant and i love watchin this dvd over and over again. i think some of the reviews so far have been unfair. Ricky Gervais sometimes steps close to the mark with his jokes. however if your a Ricky Gervais fan you see it for all it is suppose to be HUMOUR, not a way of insulting people. If you don't like Ricky's jokes and they upset you don't buy the dvd. Otherwise enjoy his act and laugh along and don't take it to heart. This is a brilliant dvd just like his others. You will not be dissapointed! :)
WOW!

This is a great dvd, on first viewing its not on the same genius scale as the other 2, but its still damn funny. Very clever. Have been told it gets even better with more viewings though.
If you dont like gervias - 1, take a long hard look in the mirror, 2, dont buy this dvd because its for fans only. If you dont get him, this wont turn you into a fan.
Ricky Gervais - Legend in his own mind!

Cocky, unfunny and dire. The problem with Gervais is fame has gone to his head. Ricky speaks and people should laugh, or so he thinks! Get off your cloud Ricky and start getting funny, because this DVD just isn't.
As Good As It Gets !

Buy this DVD if you enjoyed animals and politics.
Ricky's style of comedy and subject matter are not for everyone.
If thought provoking and edgey comedy is for you, this is as good as it gets .
Children with Cancer

If you like stand-up about children with cancer, then this is a must, otherwise fame has gone to his head - I struggled to find a laugh in this self-centred effort.
Severely Disappointed

I pre-ordered this, his 3rd stand up routine, having just missed out on tickets to see him. I watched it with anticipation, however it was a huge let down. It is a big change from watching Politics and Animals, which were absolute genius. As said this seems to be a "look at how famous I am" routine and it doesn't really work.
He strayed away from the "lecture" technique which worked so well in the first 2. This was his main problem, I hope he goes back to it in his next stand up routine. All in all it wasn't very bad but the standards I expect of him left me unhappy for buying it.
thought was ok

this is his best stand up yet, the fame title was used to play along as the person everybody has made ricky seem, he talks about subjects that other comedians shy away from but you have to find it funny, extras on the dvd are also very good especially karl pilkington with the immortal man!!!
BRILLIANT
