The references were often quite adult and I probably missed the point most of the time back in 1980 when I watched it aged 11. I even bought the paperback I was so addicted to this adult programme. Been searching for years in vain to find this on dvd, and it was like Christmas and my birthday's all rolled into one when I finally spotted it on pre-release. Wonderful, slightly dated admittedly, but the humour hasn't faded. And now, at my grand old age of 'cough cough' I can enjoy the gags even more! Hope the rest of the series come out too. Longing to see the Carol and Graham ones and the Ted ones again!
