Nick Persons (Cube) and his new wife Suzanne (Long) move into his tiny bachelor pad with her two loveable - but outspoken - kids. When Suzanne drops the bombshell that she is pregnant something has to give and the whole family move to a bigger house in the country. Their idea of a dream home is turned upside down by the local wildlife, the amount of work that needs doing and the crazy contractor they hire to do it, John C. McGinley (Wild Hogs, TV's Scrubs) in a brilliant star turn as Chuck Mitchell Jr., the builder with a bizarre approach to home improvement.

Will the Persons' family realise their dream and finish the house before the family expands? Are We Done Yet? is a hilarious, slapstick comedy that proves a move to the country and a bigger house does not automatically mean an easier life!

 Better than the first

This film is so funny, my sides actually hurt from laughing at parts. I admit Ice Cube over-acts in places but the comedy makes up for it. The animals are hilarious and the screaming deer is especially funny, I kept skipping back to play it over and over! The multi-skilled 'handy-man' is annoyingly funny, and to be honest, he makes the film what it is. Overall, a great film to watch, but kind of predictable in places.

Not a bad film, probably not as enjoyable as the first one but still worth a watch if you enjoyed are we there yet? some funny moments which should keep you entertained for an hour and a half. sadly you don't see as much of the funny kids as you did in the first but i'm pretty sure you will enjoy.

well, are we ? 'watched region 1 dvd'

after their marriage 'nick' and 'suzanne' live on 'nick's'
small flat with 'suzanne's' two kids.
they need a larger place to live especially after learning
that 'suzanne' is pregnant.
their search takes them out of town and into the country where they have arranged a viewing of a very large property.
enter 'chuck' the estate agent.
well they buy the house but soon find problems, call the electrician.........it's 'chuck'
they are not keen so 'nick' gets someone else, the electric's are wired up illegally, enter the police......it's 'chuck'
well mis-hap after mis-hap befalls the dream house,is there anything that isn't wrong or rotten, and who can they call to sort it............you've guessed it 'chuck'
the film has many moments when you'll chuckle.
i'm sure the kids will find it hillarious.
in 'are we there yet' 'suzanne's' kids play a more prominent roll which is probably why it worked so well.
this is not a bad film, but it's not so funny or as good as 'are we there yet'

 REALLY GOOD FILM

Id watched the first film a few years back and never got round to watching the sequal - but it didnt disapoint - i thought it was a really good film.

although the film is aimed at a PG audience from watching it it is clear that there are jokes in there for an older audience - the film follows the predictable path but that doesnt take the charm out of it and it remains a great feel good easy going film.

Funny but not as good as the 1st

This is a funny film, bits are hilarious but a bit to short & simple.
I did enjoy it but the first is better. It's a sort of one watch type of film but would recomend
