Customer rating: 2 out of 5 stars Rush Hour 3 isn't a patch on the first two

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

6 years since the last film and the undynamic duo are back, but gone are the slick action set pieces, the witty repartee and the decent plot lines and in are some very bad judgements of both direction, script and acting.

This is a very lazy film all round, the plot is very thin and flimsy, Chris Tucker who played the annoying cop well in the other films is far too annoying in this and has some terrible dialogue. The worst of this also sees him singing on several occasions so it was like watching sing a long with Rush Hour, he has not got a good voice which I think is the point, but it gives the film some of its worst moments.

Jackie Chan is starting to look to old and doesn't have the zip and energy he had in earlier films. Whether this is down to choice or just the poorly executed action sequences I don't know, but I also got the feeling he didn't do all of his own stunts and anyone who knows Jackie Chan knows that he does his own. In fact this is the biggest disappointment for me as that is my reason for watching the Rush Hour films, the perfect balance of Jackie's martial artistry with the funny one liners from Chris Tucker. There partnership this time just doesn't work and it is both the script and unfortunately the director that are too blame.

Brett Ratner really should have done a better job with the film. The action sequences aren't a patch on earlier films and there are hardly any. This means that Jackie never gets to show us what he can do properly and what action sequences there are aren't shot very well in that you can't appreciate the chorography properly.

It also features some terrible French accents especially from Marks & Spencer model Noemie Lenoir who makes her screen debut here. The bad guys are also some of the worst you will see and neither look that menacing or that evil. Finally I noticed some scenes that look far too familiar, one in particular sees Jackie Chan perform a stunt that he did in the previous films, at this point I completely lost interest. If they couldn't be bothered to make the effort thinking of new stuff why should the audience make the effort to pay attention.

The previous films are not classics in any way, but they delivered good solid entertainment and I have watched them a few time, in fact they are in my DVD collection. The reality with Rush Hour 3 is I will neither be watching it again or buying it.

I am a BIG fan of the first two films and have watched them with my friends countless times, but the first thing i thought when i saw the trailer for this one was how much both actors seem to have lost their talent. To be honest i think they should have stuck with the 2 films because Chris Tucker has really lost his talent and Jackie Chan doesn't play the part very well anymore, so with the comedy factor lacking it really takes a lot out of the movie... however there are some good scenes, and the action is not bad either - just all seems a bit stretched out to me :\

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Not bad but....

It was good to see Chan and Tucker team up once again for another Rush Hour, I myself am a big fan of both these actors and I simply adore the two other Rush Hour movies.
The first Rush Hour waas very good, the second one was excellent, and this one was good. Just good.
Yes, this movie has lots of laughs and action sequences but it just wasn't as funny as the other two. But don't get me wrong it's still a funny film. Secondly, I think they slightly spoiled Tucker's caracter by pushing his WANT for women a bit too far. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't offensive but in the previous movies it was funny to see he never actually got to hold a woman.
Also, some of the actors were ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! Max Von Sydow's acting was pretty wooden, and the young chinese girl who played the ambassador's daughter was bad.
Overall, if you enjoyed the two previous films you should enjoy this one as well. Is it as good as 1 and 2 ? No, but it still is entertaining.
I give Rush Hour 6.8/10

Overall, its a good film, basically same idea as the previous 2, but it loses a star because the humour was down a little, lacking the overall classicness of the previious 2.

Still, its worth a watch =P

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Just as good as the original!

The rush hour trilogy is one of the best trilogies around purely because the standard and entertainment value doesnt drop through the sequels!

High action and daring stunts! Definitely worth a watching!

I waited ages to watch this film but was dissapointed as i thought it was not as good and funny as 1 and 2. It was a good film but did not find it as enjoyable as the others. Still a film to add to your collection as the characters are great and work so well together.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars MY RUSH HOUR COLLECTION IS COMPLETE lol

Anyways i enjoyed all three movies, but i personally thought number 2 was best then this one, then the first film.
I love how the price is only £5!!! for the double disc edition but i've not actually bothered watching the second disc really.

Also i saw that there were other rush hour copies but they tend to be in region 1, which i would appreciate it if someone told me which one was the English regions (i think it is Region 3, 6 right?).

So back to the review, the only down side to this deal i personally found was that the box cover was not actually the same as the picture, which i've seen that cover in shops and i thought i would of got that cover in which i got the one with the cover which was less appealing, but anyways the movie quality was very good, and is worth the buy if you wanna finish the trilogy(if this is the last film hopefully), or either a fan of Jackie Chan's or Tucker's works.
Hope this review was useful :)

The rush hour films are one of my favourite trilogies. They are quick, high action, funny films. Rush hours three just about keeps this tridition going. The film is full of moments where you will laugh and where you will be at the edge of your seat.

Its yet another great performance from the two leading men and for such a brilliant price for a 2 disk DVD, what are you waiting for?!

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Ah! Go on why not?

Your always gonna get a great romp with these two guys and the 3rd installment is no exception. From the get go this movie is quite good fun with wicked one liners and some fantastic moves and its not just jackie who's got the moves, chris gets in there too and kich some butt. Seems they have built a good friendship and it shows in the movie with the comic and martial arts timing down to a tee.
Some will say that this film is not so good but dont listen to them, sure you wont get the deep emotional context of a film like shawshank but what you do get is an hour and a half of pure guilty pleasure.
