In revenge, patience is a virtue. And after a thousand years, Colin MacLeod doesn't give a damn about virtue...
Manga Entertainment is proud to present Highlander: Search For Vengeance, a brand new feature-length anime continuation of the Highlander saga, following the immortal Colin MacLeod's quest for revenge in the future.
The lone warrior Colin travels with the wise-cracking ghost Amergan through the ages searching for the immortal despot Marcus Octavius, who killed his lover on the Celtic plains tens of centuries ago. His quest takes him to a submerged post-apocalyptic New York where amongst the ruins,a monolithic fortress towers over the seas. Colin can save the survivors, but his sword only hungers for the blood of one man. Despite many lifetimes of training, Colin has failed to vanquish Marcus on the great battlefields of history. Can he finish what he started and stop Marcus? Will Colin lead the people to freedom or become consumed by hate? There can be only one.
Written by David Ambramowitz, creator of the Highlander TV series and Highlander 3 sequel, with direction by legendary anime helmer Yoskiaki Kawajiri on behalf of Madhouse Studio (Metropolis, Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers, and Paprika).

For any highlander fans watch this film its excellent hass all the elements of the first films and would have said a good sequel if they used the character conor. The animation is excellent and story good too. One of the better highlander films.
What a let down

This is a truly shallow effort form the man that made the anime classic Ninja scroll. I really dont see how a film with flat animation terrible story no action for preety much the films running time and a rubbish climax can be gettin rave reviews on play.
I am not a highlander fan i feel the old film is a cheesy 80s sham but im a massive anime fan and huge ninja scroll fan and this film coming from the same man i expected alot of elements from his other work, like great characters and kinda half and half over the top story but above all amazing violent action scenes and this film has none!
Just a boggy over long over drawn out story with lots of horrible american voice work and lots of nasty TV like animation.
Give this one a massive miss!
There can be only ONE!

If you are a true manga fan you shall not be dissapointed as this film brings out the portrail of such fearce and unmatched pursuit for vengeance. This film also displys the amazing previous works of Kawajiri to its full extent and much hype!
