While the first RE was bad, the sequel ranks high as one of the worst movies ever made. I actually had a headache watching the horrendous editing of this pile of junk; it wouldn´t matter if the screen was totally black during most of the fight sequences ´cause there is no telling who is hitting who anyway, and everytime they show zombies (which is little) the movie turns into some kinda weird slideshow. And Tyrant... looks like a muppet with a bazooka. It´s all high camp for a while, then it just gets annoying.

It is only 1 dvd version and it cost like the 2 dvd version.
it is no-satisfaction-edition, it is better to buy the precedent edition: the movie is the same and extra very similar
Resident Evil: Apocalypse - Resurrected Edition

Little needs to be said about Resident Evil: Apocalypse that hasn't been said already. Many detest it, some love it. I myself class it as a "crap-but-good" movie, and a pretty entertaining one at that (though I prefer the first). Its got some pretty good action sequences and lots of sex appeal, and that's good enough for me on this occasion (though Nemesis is now degenerated into a silly and subtle love interest for Alice / Milla which is quite laughable, and I would have liked to have seen Jill Valentine do a bit more martial arts just to see her booted leggies extend a bit more! What can I say! I'm one shallow guy!)).
However, this so-called "Two Disc Special Edition" (or the gimicky titled "Resurrected" Edition as the case maybe) is very misleading. I already own the first edition of the film that contained a fair array of extra features including audio commentarys, deleted scenes, behind the scenes features e.t.c. and I purchased this edition thinking it was a comprehensive two disc set. Firstly, its not two discs. Secondly, the majority of extra feature content is dedicated as a vehicle to promote the third film in the series - Extinction. There are no audio commentaries, no deleted scenes (or, indeed, an extended cut of the film that I know the Germans got in their DVD release of Apocalypse) and a minimal amount of features dedicated to the film.
It comes across as all rather cynical.
Having said that, its not a bad price (even in the high street) and the completists will be quite happy to fork out for it. But if you're not a completist, I recommend the original edition (which has more extra features).
