The Beast Wars saga continues as the high-octane yet deeply layered series Beast Machines. The Maximals - led by a now troubled and spark-searching Optimus Primal - awaken to find themselves on Cybertron with no memory of how they got there. There is little time to celebrate their defeat of Megatron, however, because that big bad bot is back and stronger than ever. Now he controls Cybertron and commands a new breed of Transformers, the Vehicons.

As if the Maximals didn't have enough to contend with, their bodies have also undergone a strange reformatting that alters the way they transform between beast and machine, forcing them to learn, practice, and perfect a new form of mind/body control. The future of Cybertron rests in the hands of Optimus Primal and the Maximals, who are committed to liberating it from Megatron and his mindless minions. Get ready for a complex, spiritual, and thrilling chapter in the Transformers story!

Now, for those of you who need a little catching up then this review will be helpful in your purchase of this item.
The Beast Wars are over and the Maximals are on their way back to their home planet of Cybertron. But matters are not as they seem. Something has happened? The streets are over-run by things called "Vehicons" and who is behind all this? Megatron of course. The bane of the Maximals now has somehow gained control of ALL of Cybertron and all the inhabitants of the world he has ripped the sparks out of and is holding them in containment somewhere...
Only Optimus, Rattrap, Cheetor and Black Arachnia have survived the crash of their ship and they are alone against wave after wave of Vehicons. But for some reason, they cannot transform and also, their previous Transmetal forms have been completely wiped clean. You find out why as the story progresses but there is a lot of shocks in this, the Beast Machines series that concludes where the Beast Wars ended. How do the Maximals initially survive in the beginning? Well, read the title of this DVD.
Yes, they are re-formatted with even jazzier, more powerful and sleek bodies by The Oracle. And the fate of Cybertron rests in their hands. But how difficult a struggle will it be? I won't give it all away but it is a hard struggle indeed, with lots and lots of conflict...
