with such a good write up and reviews i found this movie very dissapointing; tommy lee was not at his best, the suspense that was built up in the beginning was such an anti climax and generally not that good.

i thot that this film was actually good. i saw it in the cinem and couldnt wait for it to come out on dvd. ive read from other people that it addresses no new issues but how many of the other films regarding the topic of this film look into how the sdoldiers lives are affected when they get home from iraq. this film isnt meant to be about iraq itself but how the soldiers lives change when they return home from there and how events that happen out there can affect them at home.x

the film was okay but just seemed to drag on for too long so it failed to deliver, average acting but great actors in other films the storyline was okay but did drag on so as many othe people have said i agree a rental and not a purchase.

Strange film, too slow and depressing. Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron are excellent, Susan Sarandon underused. James Franco is in it for about 5 minutes. The Iraq War is not a new concept in a film, reminded me of Rules Of Engagement, which is preferable, also a similar film with Tommy Lee Jones. Just took unnecessarily long to get where it was going and the result wasn't really worth it. Had high hopes after Crash, which was excellent. One to rent, but not to buy.

I would have loved to like this film but it doesn't address anything new here, this subject has been featured in plenty of other films with a greater impact, Tommy Lee has acted better and the morbid soundtrack seems to pervade the whole film not with a sense of foreboding or menace , just depressing.
IMO a rental not a purchase

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars NOT AT ALL BORING - THOUGHT PROVOKING AND REAL TO LIFE

If you think this movie was boring there must be something truly missing in your life, like adulthood or Fanny Craddock.

I saw Tommy Lee Jones in his usual low pace speed movie, except this movie was not slow to start, it actually had you thinking from the start, "I'd like to know exactly what really happened",

It twisted and turned like a twisty turny thing, up to and until the last 10 minutes of the movie, no one was sure what had occured.

I would have given it five stars if it were not for the ending, I thought the ending was going to be something I had not seen before in a movie or on TV, but I was wrong, I was intrigued by the storyline, but not by the ending. Nonetheless, this was not a boring film, it was excellent.

Wake up and smell the coffee and stop taking high doses of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stalone, then maybe you will appreciate a good drama.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Really really compelling :)

When i started to watch the film i was starting to get fidgity as I normally do when watching a film that i find boring. However, the fidgiting soon stopped when I became really engaged in the film! It gets so much better than you think at the beginning i was utterly amazed! The storyline is so good and it turns into a more "who done it" mystery case with a fair amount of action and thought provoling material.

Overall, if your looking for a film that will grab you and turn you upside-down buy and watch this one, it is superb and believe me, the ending is so well done its worth watching the whole film just for the end part! It pulls the whole film together nicely and answers the previously un-answered questions that are raised throughout the film. Honestly, you will be surprised at how good this film actualy is!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Watch the film! Think about it! Then comment.

I thought was a very good.
Think of what the US flag means to be upside down?
It is explained in the film so not that hard to find out.
Think what soldiers have to go though out in Afghanistan and Iraq?
And you might just almost understand Some of what they have to go through, when coming back home to home life.
Then say this is a boring film!
How you can not think about the meaning of the film is beyond.
If you want blood and gore, if you want hard hitting action and adrenalin
This is not the film for you.
If you want a true account of some of what goes on
Then watch this.
I enjoyed it, even the misses said she enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this film very much. I found it to be very truthful and also quite touching. The film contains a very strong cast, with very strong performances alike. Tommy Lee Jones is brilliant, portraying a father who wants to know the truth behind his sons death. all the time mentaining strengh and determination. If you like films with real meaning and stunning acting, then I recommend you to give this a watch.
