Review

Angelo only lives for Thai boxing. Unjustly excluded from the championship, he accidentally kills his challenger in a street fight. When he's released from prison six years later, he is a shadow of his former self. Then one day, Moise, a childhood friend, introduces Angelo to Marcus (Renaud), a bar owner and illegal fight organiser. In the same night he meets Virginie (Rocher), a waitress, and for Angelo it's love at first sight. However, Virginie has been paid to pay him attention and, when he find's out, it's a blow like no other. Now he will change, he has nothing left to lose. He will become someone else. He will become a machine, the meanest, hardest man alive. Hit and get hit, unrelenting and without mercy. He will become the Scorpion

Scorpion is centered around the illegal underground sport of free fighting, a heady mix of Thai Boxing, Wrestling and Submission Grappling.

Clovis Cornillac the star of Scorpion trained for several months with Kickboxer's and contains the same stunt team that trained Matt Damon for the Bourne Identity and it also utilises the same stunt director from District 13.

Co-star of Scorpion is Jerome Le Banner, former French, European and Intercontinental Full Contact Kickboxing champion.

For a fighting film, there are not very many fights in it. I think there are only about 5 fights in it in total. In between these there is a lot of pointless and unbelievably boring conversations about anything and everything!
However, when the fights eventually do arrive they are spectacular, you can really feel the hurt as the two guys beat the crap out of each other

Customer rating: 1 out of 5 stars boring!
