I only started watching Follyfoot towards the end of its short life but as a horse lover, was totally absorbed by this wonderful series. I used to think "What a fantastic life" and having got the DVD of Series 1, I still think that! I don't tend to remember my childhood very fondly, but this seems to make it all the better. Please, please please bring out the rest on DVD too.

Atmospheric tv series of a time when things were much more simple, with a beautiful leading lady and good stories and acting and an unforgetable theme tune it will always have a place in a lot of peoples hearts.
Just a word to the distributer, please confirm you will be giving us the rest of follyfoot

Back in the great days when Follyfoot first graced our tv screens, those of us toiling our way through grammar school were always glad of a reason (ok, an excuse) to postpone the homework
None was better than watching the delightful Follyfoot - which has lost none of it's considerable charm in the intervening years
Perfectly cast and filmed in beautiful Yorkshire locations, it's a treat for all ages - you can let your Great Aunt Pru or the kids or anyone in between enjoy a taste of tv as it used to be
Who else remembers the marvellous Sunday teatime series we had back then? Where are they now? Well, you can shut the winter out and turn the clock back with this great trip back in time
Special mention for the amazing Arthur English - what a great actor he was. He lifted any programme in which he appeared, into another class. Remember his star turns in "Are You Being Served?" - not easy to upstage that cast, but he frequently did
Can't wait for the remaining Follyfoot series to come back - please, please, let them not have suffered the "tape-wiping" fate of so many series from the 60s and 70s

Reminds me of the era it was filmed in. A excellent cast, good locations and a pretty lead actress. The music alone was great with a superb score and backround music throughout. Cannot wait for series 2 to come out soon.
Brilliant - More... more...

The colour is slightly faded but that in no way diminishes the joy you'll feel watching this again. Totally recommended and I hope that the rest of the episodes will be released to DVD too. It was one of those programmes where everything worked. Excellent ensemble cast, gorgeous setting and a theme tune that bursts out of your tv set and draws you back to the seventies. The storylines have an edge that would appeal to a young, contemporary audience. Interesting to see that Stephen Frears was one of the directors.

It definitely takes me back, unbelievable to think that I was only 4 when this was on tv, showing me age. As others have said "What happened to Gillian Blake". Roll on Series 2. Pity they couldn`t put the theme tune in full as an additional extra.
So much more than a girly kids show about horses...

For the forty-something generation, male and female, Follyfoot has plenty to say about growing up, dreams, ambition and relationships. I hope the distributors will release ALL THREE series for this extraordinary show to be fully enjoyed and completely understood.

It is long overdue this fantastic first series on DVD. It will be lovely to see Gillian Blake again who appears to have vanished off this planet. Let us all hope that this release will encourage Gillian to return to our screens - we all adored her back then in those 70's days. Thank you for this release and now we need other series to be made available soon - perhaps a complete box set with extra footage please!
