The Bourne Identity is the best of the trilogy in my opinion. The film is paced greatly with a good mix of story and action, which is unusual for the first film in a action trilogy. The Bourne Identity for me is a greater adventure than the 2 sequels, the film is an original style mix of spy and action movies, like 007.

Matt Damon is great as Jason Bourne, and it's refreshing to see him play a role more suited towards him. Franka Potenteis great as well, and also happy to see her in a high budget film too.

This version of the DVD is obviously a promotional product for the release of the Bourne Ultimatum but i would suggest you buy the normal 1 disc version if your only looking for the film (it's cheaper and the normal 2 disc version if you want all the special features, and not the one in between.

what a superb reinvention of the spy/thriller drama.saw this at the cinema on its release in 2002.had read the robert ludlum novels but didnt think matt damon was right for the part.wrong age,wrong build.boy was i wrong.damon aquits himself in visceral,violent action scenes that were excellent.barely pausing for breath the whole film rockets along till its fluffy but unresolved conclusion which lightens the tone a little.dark,edgy,tense,well acted by all.after this i did not know if the remaining books would be filmed,thankfully they were.

This is an amazing film with many twists and turns and has amazing action and lots of voilence.

Matt Damon is a great actor and is fitted perfectly for this role and also the other cast are good for there parts too.

The directing needed to be good to make this film work and by golly it did.

Overall i would say this film is 5 stars because not only are the actora great, the directing is superb is that it has an mazing car chase!

i love all the bournes and this one is my favourite. so well made. must see.

my wife persuaded me to catch this movie, wow it just blew my mind. Great story crisp dialogue superb acting this movie is fantastic do not waste your time on Bond anymore if you need a job doing, your country needs help then the name Bourne, Jason Bourne

great film but has anyone else had trouble understanding the other languages as i cannot seem to get the english subs up for them if anyone knows how please help!!! but otherwise i cant fault it love these films cant wait to see the third.

One of, if not the best film I have watched. Damon once again shows his true acting class and pulls out all the stops to help this genius film really work. You are constantly on your toes waiting for the next twist in the plot or the next adrenaline fuelled action scene, and it doesn't disappoint.
