A low budget film that feels like it is a low budget film. Had the potential of being a great film but leaves you feeling little for the main characters. Watch it, but don't expect much is the best attitude to this film.
like a fool i fell for the "better than saving private ryan line" Ha Ha .It started with a panic call from an american platoon under attack requesting more ammo immedeatly or they would be overrun .Well 3 days later the the men delivering the ammo did turn up.That just about sums up this film and if you dont believe me then you can have my copy free
I was forced to watch this film the other night only because on the cover it stated in big bold letters'Saving PrivateRyan but better' Well i have seen alot of war films in my time and alot of low budget but this one just takes the biscuit! Very bad acting, there was just NO story line to it! I would go as far to say that Dads Army is more enjoying and like Saving Private Ryan han this very poor film. If these critics have to write about these low budget films at least have the honesty to tell the truth.
Rarely do world war 2 films grab you, and lure you in to the point that you're part of the movie, this does.
A unique piece of work that stays with you for days after.
The film is very polished, in delivering the story of Americans, Germans, and Italians towards the end of the war, and their daily lives, their encounters, their hopes and their dreams.
As the tag line says, their are three sides to every war story, our's, theirs, and the truth.
One for the collection
When a new war film is released people automatically think its going to be 2 hours of explosions and battle scenes and when this isn't the case they're disappointed. This film portrays a realism that no other war film has in terms of what the soldiers actually went through physically and emotionally...for once its not all about the americans saving the world and becoming heros! This tells an emotional journey from different sides during the war making it original, unique and well worth watching!
