this is one of these movies that fall into a place where movies are cute but not classic, its a warm cute story with a very solid performance for scarlett johansson while Laura Linney plays a similiar role to merly streaps superficial wealthy character in devil wears prada , Paul Giamatti is pretty average and under used .but to me this movie tries to address more heavy social issues in a very light mannered unconvincing way and in this it loses its way,it could have been either more feelgood or more drama in a way in kinda just stayed middle of the road ,and with such a strong cast (also chris evens and alica keys) giving better direction this movie had the potential to have been so much more .still worth a watch three stars might be a bit harsh but for me its just short of four stars

'Whats wrong, why wont u shake ur booty?' 'Coz I have to make a doodie'! SO Funny!
I adore Scarlett Johansson (she is my second fave actress behind Liv Tyler) and she is really good in this film! She fits the role of a nanny perfectly!
This film is really witty and cute and the boy, Grayer, is really sweet! There is also another boy in this film, though he is a little older and more good lookin'....Hayden aka....Chris Evans! Its always good to have a bit of eye candy in a film, well, its certainly nice, isnt it ladies *wink*! Ive seen Chris in Fantastic Four and he is just as cute in this!
The Nanny Diaries is, well, like a diary surprisingly enough, hehe! There is a voice over by Scarlett at points (not all the way through, so its doesnt spoil anything) You basically see whats going on like a normal film, with just the occasional voice over! Its refreshing to have films like that, where they have a little voice over, its been done before obviously, and in this film u get a few weird camera angles and day dreams!
Its also funny that Scarlett's character, the nanny, is actually called Annie, so some people in the film say 'Annie the nanny'!
This film is unique and it has a really touching story, with the relationship between Annie and Grayer and how Annie, for a while, is the only one Grayer can count on! Ull have to watch it to find out what happens in the end!
Suprisingly Entertaining.

From the trailer I didn't think this film would be good. However, it was actually entertaining & funny in places. The story is good. I actually thought it was better than the devil wear's prada, so if you liked that then this is right up your street.

plesent movie
