At long last, I have put off buying the early season box sets in anticipation of this release. For those younger folk who think Miami Vice is all about Farrell and Fox in the ridiculously poor update on this franchise, prepare to be in for a suprise. The TV series is slick, stylish (well, it was when it was made), and thoroughly entertaining. Prepare to get to know Crockett and Tubbs inside out as their personal life becomes more subjective as the episodes pan out. If you are put off the original series because of the film, dont be. If only I had time to watch all episodes back to back......

Ive waited for this set for a long time. It was worth the wait. I got it for my birthday and it is a great gift. this is highly recommended if you are a big vice fan like me. sure its expensive but its worth every single penny!!. Highly recommended. especially the final episode 'freefall'

At long last a definitive collection. i grew up watching Miami vice & now have the chance to watch episodes missed.ive currently watched 1 to 48 episodes and can just say WOW!!! Fabulous,80's soundtracks are superb.

I fully agree with the other reviewers that this is the definitive collection for any Miami Vice fan. However, after having watched the first few episodes, I feel that I must highlight my disappointment at the poor video quality. Forget digital remastering. The video quality is as though the episodes were recorded on a home VCR and later transferred onto DVD. The dust specks and scratches on the original film are all there. Colour is dull. Audio quality, although remastered to Dolby Digital 5.1 is rather flat. Overall I am pleased to have this collection but expected better quality especially at this price. I still recommend this collection to any Miami Vice fan but thought prospective buyers should be aware of this.

Bought this in Jan 2010 on the off that id bought the Volume 1 boxset of the series... Ended up loving it and bought the boxset 2 weeks later!!! Gotta say, there was "just" a few duff episodes, but there is mainly quality episodes in there!!! A definite watch!!!!
