Its Saturday - race home from the football to get sat with some food on your lap and the A-Team on the tv - bliss as a youngster!
I'd actually forgot how great this was, sure the effects and fight scenes are a little dated now - but the basics are as good as they every was. Good family viewing too - no worries on bad language or blood splatter - 'slime ball' is about the worst Hannibal throws at the bad guy and despite all the bombs and bullets there is never a blood fest with matching body count.
Final word on the packaging - which is the best boxed set I've seen. Really is a must for those who rememebr it the first time around or for those yet to discover it.
Buy it Sucker!!

I am and always will be an A team fan so this complete special boxset at £80 was a must have addition to my rapidly growing collection, thanks to Play.com! I loved this show when i was a kid and to have all the seasons on 27dvd's and at a decent price, i couldn't wait for it to arrive to start watching the team in action. Thankfully, unlike the Knight Rider Ultimate collection, which is just a cardboard box this boxset is made from wood (it's like a box of dynamite) so it wasn't crushed during delivery and arrived in perfect condition! I was glad of this as it is the most i have ever spent on a dvd set and i have not been dissappointed as i was with the Knight Rider collection. I just wish that all complete collections (which aren't cheap) would have detail in the outer packaging like this one, the picture doesn't show how good it really is, it looks like it should have cost twice as much! Nice one Play my best buy so far, and i've bought loads from the site!!!

As a 7 year old boy back in 1983 tv was rubbish, then along came a new tv show from America, 'The A Team' blasted on to our screens and changed our Saturday evenings forever. John 'Hannibal' Smith (Hollywood Star George Peppard) the team leader & the planner who was constantly on the jazz. Templeton 'Faceman' Peck (Dirk Benedict) con artist & ladies man who could talk his way into or out of any situation. Then there was the ever funny 'Howling Mad' Murdoch (Dwight Schultz) who by far was my favourite character with his invisible dog 'billy' and alter ego Captain Cab and his talking sock 'lefty' he was the team's pilot and crazy guy (who they had to breakout from the mental ward at the VA every week!!) BA 'Bad Attitude' Baracus the teams hardman and Mechanic genius who could turn cars into armoured tanks or farm machinery into a cabbage ejecting weapon, saying shut up fool I ain't got time for the jibber jabber!! Yep things couldn't get better. This was every boy's dream, guy's with machine guns and grenades blowing stuff up!! how cool is that? Four guys blasting their way through North & south America helping the oppressed and squashing the bad guys while being chased by the military. Now I can watch The A Team on DVD over and over again. I've got all five seasons on DVD and I've watched all 95 episodes about 5 times over so far it makes brilliant viewing for people of all ages, even if you didn't watch it in the 80's get it anyway you'll love it. Come on 'I Love it when a plan comes together'.
Shut up fool I aint getting on no plane

A classic retro show which will please adults and children alike.
Just adding to this, Dave if you ever read this, at least two people died during the A-Team series.
One general who was chasing the A-Team got shot in the back when he was boarding a helecopter and there was another death as well, but I cannot remember that one.
Personally I do not like these cases as means that it's akward to fit onto shelves, so chances are the DVDs will be removed and the case put in a cupboard somewhere.
Explosive stuff

It may be cheesy as hell, and hold scant regard for realism, but this is the greatest TV show ever to come out of America. The chemistry between the four heroes is amazing, even though George Peppard and Mr T hated each other, and to have 98 episodes that basically tell the same story over and over again, with more bullets per episode than the entire Tarantino collection, yet ony 3 people died on screen, and the same car-flip stunt at least once a week only for the bad guys to crawl out the window, just makes it the perfect way to take your mind off the world for 45 minutes. Just a pity that the only special feature listed is the packaging

The best programme ever produced. Brilliant in its day, brilliant now. Laugh at some of the worst special effects ever. Watch how no-one dies, however bad the accident. Enjoy the way Mr.T always falls for the being hit over the head or drinking some dodgy milk in order to get him on the plane. Marvel at their building skills. Same format for every show, yet they're all brilliant. Just legendary
