Heroes: Season 1 - Part 1 (4 Discs)

This series is so good it is hard to put into words. Every single episode apart from 1 or 2 leaves you on a knife edge on this Part 1 boxset. Every character is believable and I think that most people will be able to relate to at least one of the characters in this series.

I'm sure women will love Peter Petrelli and Sylar and the blokes will find Claire Bennett not too hard on the eyes. But it is not just about looks in this tv series unlike some other American tv series there is substance to this. I have recently finished watching Part 1 and already seen some of Part 2 but can't wait to get Part 2. I keep on saying to my girlfriend I'm so tempted but she says no don't get it!! Maybe I will find it next to the Christmas tree. Fingers crossed!!

This is better than Lost....but wait for the full boxset - or if you have a multi region player buy the full season from the states - only cost £22 including shipping for the entire season!!!!!!

Heroes sees a group of ordinary people deal with extraordinary abilities. Although to the casual observer this may seem like another sci-fi, heroes is much more of a drama with sci-fi elements involved. Each episode, which acts like chapters in a book, are very character driven rather pieces, relying on the characters and there struggles to drive the story rather than relying heavily on SFX. However that's not to say that the show dose not have eye catching SFX to portray the characters abilities. Extremely good writing, goes hand in hand with the extremely good acting. Heroes is the most cleaver TV show available right now. However your better off waiting for the full season box set.

Heroes has already took the world by storm. In the US it acheived a viewing audience of 14.3 million people. In the UK it got an average of 450,000 viewers when it aired on the Sci-Fi Channel, which is 5 times the amount of viewers Sci-Fi has ever had for a TV Show, therefore breaking the channel's records. When Heroes began airing on BBC2, the premiere attracted a staggering 14.3 million, making BBC bosses consider airing the second half of the show on BBC1.

The DVD Boxset of Season 1 becomes available for purchase in the US on August 28th and millions of pre-orders have been placed. I finished watching Heroes Season 1 on June 21st thanks to my amazing US iTunes Account.

If you haven't seen the full season yet or are watching it on BBC2, believe me, you have one hell of a treat in store. This could be the best show in history.

Ever since I started watching Lost, I didn't think anything could top it, then Heroes came along, and did exactly that. If you haven't seen any of the Heroes episodes, either because your not a fan of science fiction, or you just haven't had time, make time! It's not just for sci-fi fans! I would definitely reccomend it!

I think Heroes is a really good show and i would recommend it to anyone who's interested in Superhero comics of old/new or Sci Fi. BUT and this is a big but.. the fact that this 1st series has been released in two separate box sets is a complete rip off!!
