Alfred Hitchcock's movie The Ring is a classic "love triangle" story of a woman trapped between prize fighting suitors. Jack is at the top of his boxing game, but his newest challenger is more interested by his pretty fiancée than he is to get into the ring with the champ! The ultimate conflict of jealousy ensues!

The Ring is the only film Hitchcock took or was given full writing credits in his entire career, and did not base the scenario on a novel. The director himself rated this silent film as amongst his best, right along with The Lodger. It was also the first film on which he worked with his future wife Alma Reville. The film features photography tricks Hitchcock would use again years later in films like The Man Who Knew Too Much, most notably during the climactic boxing sequences.
