At least this gets a release on dvd, I can't wait to get this, it's been a long time coming but worth the wait, 7 episodes of John Pertwee and bless her the late Caroline John, I have this story on vhs but it's going to be fab to watch all 7 episodes in colour. 7 great episodes, If your a Jon Pertwee fan your going to love this one.

Mars Probe 7 returns to Earth but something sinister has come with it. The Doctor; Liz Shaw and UNIT have a multi faceted and intriguing mystery to deal with.Mysterious crimes, alien visitors and a plot to start a preemptive attack on an initially benign extra terrestrial race. as a 7 part story there are a few moments where the pace slows but in this case, exposition is used to fill these areas to good effect. A fascinating story with John Abineri performing brilliantly as a senior astronaut suffering from extreme mental stress and trauma. He decides to manoevre Earth authorities into an attack on the aliens as a result of an unfortunate and genuine misunderstanding on his own previous mission. A great story and a true Pertwee classic.
