 Superb French film

This is a really intelligent and original idea for a film, the acting all round is superb, the Paris locations are great, not the usual tourist locations that are on most films set in Paris. Also good to see Kristin Scott Thomas using her bilingual language skills in another French film, where I think her acting in French is possibly better than in English! Pity the character was a little average to play. The lead actor reminded me of a younger Dustin Hoffman but 10 times faster action wise with all the running. The ending was just a little `Hollywood` sentimental, as the film I thought desrved a more original ending, but apart from that - great, buy it and enjoy!

Alex and Margot are happily married and on their anniversary they go to a lake that they've been visiting since childhood. Come evening, they get ready to go home when Alex hears Margot scream, rushing to find out what's wrong, Alex is knocked unconscious.

Eight years later, Alex is now a successful doctor, but clearly never got over the murder of his wife, which we see the funeral in flashback, wonderfully edited together with scenes from their wedding day and Jeff Buckley's 'Lilac Wine' as the music source.

Then unexpectedly, Alex receives and anonymous email telling him to watch live feed from a web cam, when he does this he sees Margot.

What unfolds is a very clever and taut thriller as Alex races to find out the truth. A totally engaging film with superb performances, that builds up the tension that keeps you gripped to your seat. With an A-list supporting cast including Kristin Scott Thomas, free flowing camera work, this is really a wonderful film that reminds you of how Hollywood used to do it.

 A great French movie

Tell No One is easily one of the best DVDs released this year. It is a very exciting thriller with a complex plot that keeps you guessing throughout. The acting is first rate, as is the directing - the chase sequence (which is on foot) is simply stunning. The soundtrack is also very fitting, the use of Jeff Buckley's version of 'Lilac Wine' is simply perfect.

This is a surprising and excellent movie, an intelligent film that has a great love story at its heart, as well as brilliant action set pieces. I would recommend anybody who loves film to check it out.
