Beautiful Thing

A beautifully realised film about coming of age and coming to terms with who you are. Even supporting characters were well written and played, adding realism and depth to the film. The only downside for me was the slightly unbelievable and unrealistic scene right at the end (I can't go into detail so as not to spoil it for those who haven't seen it)- but this shouldn't put people off watching it. Definitely left a good feeling behind and I found myself really feeling for these characters throughout and wanting things to work out for them.

This film is my all time favourite. I first saw it in the cinema (twice) when it came out, but I haven't seen it for a few years as I only have it on video. So pleased to see it here on dvd. It manages to be hilariously funny whilst dealing with difficult issues and takes you on a real emotional rollercoaster. Love, love, love this film!

I've watched this film so many times now, the 2 boy leads are brilliant, Linda Henry is fantastic as the hard-as-nails but sensitive mum, but to me the real star is Tameka Empson. She is superb as the loopy Mama Cass-a-holic neighbour Leah. You've got to watch this film just to see her, despite the contrived ending.

this was my first boy on boy film so i didn't know what to expect,it was on channel 4 one night so i thought what the hell so i watched it it was so good i turned over to channel 4 plus one and taped it!iv watched it countless times,and its still funny sweet and true.

This film is brilliant the guys in this dvd act great and the tunes of mama cass make this film the best i"ve watched & i never get bored watching it again again & again

This film is amazing. A definate must see for everyone. I can't actually count the number of favourite lines I have in this film.

A must see film for everyone. A sweet coming of age gay love story. I love the film and can't stop watching it. The soundtrack is also a must buy!

but... we are talking about a council estate in london here arnt we, just kinda unreal specialy the end. But apart from that it was a real good film.

this has got to be from far the best film i have seen in a long time i watched it round my friends , and it was outstanding from start to end.
i have now watched it over 40 times and still love it as if it was my first time watching it . if you have not seen this film i urdge you to get it and watch it you will just love it .
i rate this film 100 stars as i can only go to five with play .

This film is by far one of the best films I have had the pleasure of watching, it's a film I could watch over and over again. An absolute MUST SEE !!!!!!
