Frank runs a mildly successful business with his school friends Mike and John, making props for television shows. Relations between the trio become strained when John begins turning up late and not pulling his weight. Meanwhile, Frank falls for fiercely independent Ruby but cannot decide whether to commit to her - or indeed to his art.
