28 Days Later:In this film from director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland, a powerful virus is unleashed on the British public following a raid on a primate research facility by animal rights activists. Transmitted in a drop of blood and devastating within seconds, the virus locks those infected into a permanent state of murderous rage. Within 28 days the country is overwhelmed and a handful of survivors begin their attempts to salvage a future, little realising that the deadly virus is not the only thing that threatens them...

28 Weeks Later:Six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles, the US Army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin. In the first wave of returning refugees, a family is reunited - but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time, it is more dangerous than ever.

28 Days Later is a fantastic film because they aren't actually zombies they are rage infected humans so thats why they can run and the ones in dawn of the dead shouldn't. 4/5 for gore, 5/5 for story. Fantastic recommended for halloween

28 Weeks Later is a fantastic sequel, because this one really makes me jump and make me cover my eyes on the scary parts. Fantastic recommended for halloween. 5/5 for gore, 5/5 for story.

These are fantastic films and I have watched these 4 times, 3 times with me mates and once on me own and had to put it off on the subway bit in 28 Weeks Later. 4 times and I still get scared, brilliant buy.

28 Days Later is arguably the best British horror film ever made. It's heart pounding pace and brilliant portrayal of humanity in post apocalyptic London make it a deeply disturbing watch. The wonderful cinematography combines with an excellent cast and fantastic soundtrack give this film a devastating reality.

28 Weeks later starts off well enough with flashbacks to the time of 28 days later but then descends into action mayhem and gory set pieces at the expense of credibility. That said it's still a good film and when packaged with its predecessor is a must buy.
