  Is this a musical re-make?

I found this to be very, very similar to Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell which was made in the 60's only it has been made up of of Abba songs. If ever you get a chance to see this film then do so and you will see the same storyline.

  Cheesy, total musical, fab!

I'd always wanted to see this, just to see what it was like. Took YEARS to finally buy it, and it was worth the wait!!

The casting's pretty good, though I'm sure they'd've gotten away with unknown names as well!

It's just brilliant! The songs are exceptionally catchy (obviously, this is ABBA!), it's well choreographed, there're a few surprises along the plot and it's just fun!! I watched it again after 2 days because I needed to see it again and have the enjoyment!!

For me, this is a fab film, there's romance, comedy, singing, dancing and just a total feel good factor!

Went and watched this in the cinema with my mum and sisters and it was a great film. The songs are so good and the film is very funny.
Got the DVD for christmas when it was released and still enjoyed it. However bad idea if you have a mum that absolutely loves Abba and Pierce Brosnon! She must have watched it about 100 times. Talk about wearing out the film.

  brilliant film

Lighthearted family fun, chick flick really, my hubby wasn't a huge fan. I thought the songs were fan and Pierce Brosnan was the usual handsome charming man, what a legend. Highly recommend this film.

I found this film really good fun, and great to sing along to. I have watched this film many times now and i still laugh throughout. All round great family film, i have watched it with my two daughters and they found it funny and it was also great to hear them singing along to the abba classics. I would recommend this film to anyone, either to watch alone, or with the family, you will have great fun and its nice to have a sing along too. Well worth the money.

I like Abba, i even like the reference to Abba in Muriels Wedding, but this film is so much over the top, its crossinga a line.
Too much singing, and not good singing either. The idea of the story is lost in the midst of all the crazy singing.

My, My - How can you resist it?

I don't entirely see the point of giving this a seriously critical review - because it really doesn't matter.

You put this in the DVD machine when you just want to be lifted from reality and sink yourself into a deliriously entertaining, colourful and bright piece of cheerfulness. Half the cast can't sing - who cares? They give it their all and don't give a damn and that's just how it should be. Throw is some stunning island scenery, people having pure fun, and fill it with great pop songs we all know by heart and you have a film that pretty much exists to cheer you up and do nothing else

I have rarely ever left a cinema as de-stressed and cheerful as I did the day I saw this a couple years ago and that's why I keep a copy of this around.

This movie is a great 'Girls night' Film and good for family sing-a-long if that's for you (It's not for me) This movie can be VERY corny and Pierce isn't the best singer ever, but a great tribute to Abba and very heart felt! More of a chick flick though
