Two socially inept teenage boys are about to graduate high school. Evan (Michael Cera) is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth (Jonah Hill) is foul mouthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. Seth and Evan want nothing more than to lose their virginity before they head off to college. To do that, though, they need to get liquor for the big party that night. With the help of their friend Fogell, a.k.a. McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), and his fake I.D., the three of them go on a hilarious chase for that elusive booze, dodging incompetent cops (Knocked Up's Seth Rogen and Saturday Night Live's Bill Hader), angry neighbors and jealous boyfriends!

If you enjoyed Superbad then check out these `bromance' classics and new favourites:

The Hangover: Can three friends remember what happened during a manic stag party and find the missing groom?

Role Models: Theatrical & Extended Cuts: Two party animals turned teen delinquent mentors get more than they bargained for!

Midnight Run: Rober DeNiro pursues wise-talking criminal Charles Grodin in the archetypal buddy movie.

I Love You, Man: Friendless Peter needs a best man, but gets more than he bargained for when he meets Sidney.

Clerks: Anything and everything happens when two generation X slackers are left to run the store.

White Men Can't Jump: Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes star as a couple of dysfunctional basketballing con artists.

Swingers: Favreau and Vaughn are at their best in this hilarious tale of LA actors on the lookout for love.

I went to see this at the cinema after hearing good things about it but I hated it.I couldnt wait for the film to be over.

The films main character (Seth) is so unlikable and the amount of swearing is was overboard.I am not a prude or neither do I get offeded easily but I just thought the used of the F word was totally needless.

The part with the Police was so stupid and the whole film just really sucked bad in my opinion.Maybe it's more of a young guys film (I'm a 28 yr old woman) but the name "Super Bad" is highly appropriate to me!!

Avoid this film like the plague!!!

 Super Bad Indeed...

I know everyone has ranted and raved about this film, and that's fair enough, but I am entitled to my opinion too and I simply didn't like it.
It tried to be crudely funny and just succeeded in being crudely unfunny.
Maybe if I was a thirteen year old boy, I would have absolutely loved this film... But I'm not, so I didn't.

Quality acting, I don't often laugh out loud to films, but this was excellent, has hundreds of one liners which leave your ribs in pain from the constant laughter, hilarious film, gonna buy it when it's released, I'd definatly advise it to anyone who's into teenage films like this, american pie, road trip, old school. Oh, and it gets better everytime you watch it, cos whilst you're laughing you miss bits, well worth the watch!

This is by far the best comedy of the crop of films that Apatow has brought out in the last couple of years. It basically shows the lead-up to an end of school party which relies on class clown Seth and his buddy Evan getting alcohol to fuel the antics. As you can imagine, a crazy series of events ensue which involve a fake Hawaiian driving license, 2 crazy cops, a particularly gruesome stain, and a lot of drinking.
A great film (although more for guys) with some bellyaching dialogue. Worth a buy because although not an 'amazing film', you can watch it over and over and generate the same laughs.

If you love films like Knocked Up, Anchorman, Step Brothers, 40 Year Old Virgin and all the others then you will probably enjoy Superbad. If you don't then I wouldn't put this film at the top of your to watch list because it is not as funny as it makes out. Renting might be the option here. There is the occassional good laughing bit but the rest is basically time to kill. You don't really have time to gain a full understanding of the characters. All in all its pretty average not as funny as others of its kind (American Pie and 40 Year Old Virgin). Don't be in a rush to get it if you ain't a comedy fanatic.
