By now you should know what you're getting, if you like 90 minutes of action and very little characterization then be my guest. With hardly any plot to speak of and good special effects, this film at least has some novelty in that the main character is not really a hero. Then again, Hancock seems to have looked into that side of super powers in more depth - so all this has going for it is the fact there are some "jump" effects. I've only seen the film once and can't tell you much else, other than some people are trying to catch the anti-hero and there's a lot of "jumping".

 Great concept, good action movie.

In the film, Hayden Christensen, David Rice, finds he can teleport. It's not long before he comes to the attention of Roland, played by Samuel L. Jackson, who is trying to kill all jumpers, as they leap about the world.
Alas the plot has more holes than a Swiss cheese, script could be better, as could the editing. Acting, the only word that seems to sum it up is "lazy". Overall the concept behind Jumper is very good, and it could have been a blockbuster, but it isn't. It's still good enough for action movie fans to declare it a reasonable night in, as long as you have plenty of crisps and beer. You never know, it could lead to a great Tv series.....

I don't understand why people compare this film to the Matrix, it is nothing like it, and is not trying to be!!
This film is basically a superhero origin story of a man discovering he has the ability to teleport. It is the first of a trilogy and I suspect like the Bourne series it will come into its own the more we see the character and what he is capable of. It is too soon to judge this movie without knowing what happens in the sequels, but as a stand alone film it definately delivers and is based on a good concept. It would be mint if you could teleport anywhere in the world. PS its nothing like the matrix!!!!!
