Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend, Sarah - a teenager with an active imagination - summons the Goblins from her favourite book, Labyrinth, to take her baby step-brother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into the world of the fairy tale to rescue him from the wicked Goblin King! Guarding his castle is The Labyrinth itself - a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah will have to outwit the King by befriending the very Goblins who protect him, in hope that their loyalty isn't just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems!

I use to watch this when I was little and it was my all time favourite film and I'm glad to say now that it's on DVD it is still my all time favourite film. I had not seen it for years and watching it all over again just brings back all the magic that Jim Henson had created that got me interested with his work. The DVD extras on this are also really good to see, how the puppet's get made and how they do the dancing in it with the black screen behind the puppets. Also getting to see an insight as to how Jims mind works, just a truly brilliant film all in all and I give it 5 stars.
They don't make em like this anymore!

Creative, inventive, funny, good honest family entertainment. An 80s fantasy classic! Jim Henson rocks, David Bowie rocks, Jennifer Connely rocks! The visuals are sublime, the dialogue is class (courtesy of Terry "Monty Python" Jones, who rocks!), the songs by Boeiw are great- what more could you want? If you have a slight interest in fantasy, you need to pick this up- it's a brilliant film and shows no end to it's coolness.
