I use to watch this when I was little and it was my all time favourite film and I'm glad to say now that it's on DVD it is still my all time favourite film. I had not seen it for years and watching it all over again just brings back all the magic that Jim Henson had created that got me interested with his work. The DVD extras on this are also really good to see, how the puppet's get made and how they do the dancing in it with the black screen behind the puppets. Also getting to see an insight as to how Jims mind works, just a truly brilliant film all in all and I give it 5 stars.

Creative, inventive, funny, good honest family entertainment. An 80s fantasy classic! Jim Henson rocks, David Bowie rocks, Jennifer Connely rocks! The visuals are sublime, the dialogue is class (courtesy of Terry "Monty Python" Jones, who rocks!), the songs by Boeiw are great- what more could you want? If you have a slight interest in fantasy, you need to pick this up- it's a brilliant film and shows no end to it's coolness.

I watched this film whilst growing up and it brought back so many memories!!
The storyline is just PACKED with stuff, you'll never get bored!
Obviously the 80s quality is not as good as the quality of films we see today, but the storyline makes up for it all!

If you haven't seen it, you might as well buy it, it's brilliant! For 5 pounds you've got nothing to lose :]

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

Made in 1986 by Jim Henson this was another of my sisiter's favourites when we were growing up, and when i saw this Anniversary edition 2dvd full of extras for just £4.99 i had to check it out again!!
Whilst watching i could remember certain things about it but had forgotten quite a lot and found it very entertaining throughout! It is a well made film that is for all ages and the story is easy to follow, no wonder it was so popular in the 80's!
David Bowie as the Goblin King and Jennifer Connolly as the Teenager with a over active imagination both give entertaining performances and you will watch this again and again, especially if you have kids!!
Nice one Play a classic at a bargain price!
