No fancy camerwork, effects or acting...just straight to the point direction depicts life in one of the many borstals around the UK in the 80's, one man decides to make a stand to the system but will he succeed? What was once banned by the BBC for 14 years has now been brought to us on DVD, a must see film for its gritty storyline and obscene nature, well worth a watch.

Quite simply, this is the greatest film ever made. FACT (okay, it's more opinion, but I think you'll find I have good reason to say it). It equals tension and grit with humour.
No special editing or camera movements from overhead, you are constantly with the action at head height watching as the story unfold as the 'hero' (good old Ray) battles with the authority around him.
Buy and at least watch. You may not find it the best film you have watched, but you must watch it. Then get Quadrophenia
