Yawn. Save your money. Not entertaining in the slightest. I'm struggling to meet the minimum 50 characters describing it.
I feel this film had potential but was a let down. I expected more from Dougray Scott and Saffron Burrows. If you like vampire films then this will meet the criteria but lacked action unfortunately.
Perfect Creature is a well thought out film with decent acting and a good story which is a new twist to an old theme. The effects are good and the general feel of the film is also very atmospheric. The film has a very Victorian or even steam punk feel to it but it is a good watch which I really did enjoy. I would recommend this one as a good thriller/horror with a good bit of action and a side dish of romance.
This is not the usual Humans vs. Vampires movie but they live in harmony together, providing what they need to each other for survival.
The film is great but it leaves open for a sequel hope they make it.
Good and evil take up battle as aristocratic vampire and heroic policewoman come up against vampiric criminal genius in the surely underated Perfect Creature. With amazing sets, often reminiscent of those on Bladerunner, and filmed in sepia tones, this is a film that places emphasis on relationship and on love, a love punctuated by moments of satisfying gore, but always keeping a balance between horror and romance. Perfect Creature is an underestmated film that should surely appeal to the more discerning horror fan.
