Transformers Takara: Complete Collection Box Set (13 Discs)

This is barely reminisant of the US Cartoon that most of you will know and love and anyone jumping on the badwagon after the recent film will prolly get nothing from this.

Hardcore fans will wet themselves with excitment over this boxset (if they havent brought the sepearete season anyway).

Picking up where the US cartoon left off (and disreagarding the last three episodes) the Japanese werent ready to let Transformers go and contiuned to make it.

So totally in Japanese with subs and introudcing many new characters that were not in the US series and by halfway through the first season HEADMASTERS it barely resembles anything from your childhood memories.

The animation is solid and stories are accepatble.

I totally dig ths box-set. I loved head masters, wasn't feeling super god master force and liked victory. The animation is beautiful, like all anime's. I was looking forward to getting the poster, but unfortunately didn't get it. If you're a transformer fan/geek like me you will love this, pick it up!!

This item is great! The price is fantastic and I haven't been able to locate this boxset anywhere else. This item is a great addition to the G1 series aired in the UK in the 80s. I was a bit disappointed that I did not get the poster with it but I'm still very happy overall

The really true downside of this box is the lack of (original) english voicing and the original theme music. It makes it somewhat difficult to get "into" the series, and that makes it maybe a bit more for die-hard fans, but I'm sure everyone can enjoy this collection.

There is an english track (for Singaporian television, if I remember correctly) is a big laugh. For whatever reason they used it, I cannot tell. I though it was funny, I laughed my a$$ off ;-) It's a lot of bad voice acting by only one man. I'd stick with the japanese track, but as part of the extra features a nice addition as well as the commentary track on some of the episodes.

Having said the above, it is a great set of completeness. Whatever happened after Season 2 ...well this! I enjoyed it a lot and I hope everyone who buys it will enjoy this box-set too!
