i hadn't seen the equalizer since the television series and was so looking forward to purchasing series( 1.) on dvd .

video quality.
really poor video quality highly compressed as there is 4 episodes on one disc i can honestly say that its no better than VHS just seems as if they haven't been minted from the masters or the master tapes are in such a poor state that thats the best they are ever going to look.

sound quality.
apart from the opening title track sound seems to be very poor on each episode. particular the mood music in each episode

final thought.
while i was left feeling a more than disappointed i still managed to enjoy the first series of the equalizer it took me back to Saturday nights back in the late 1980s although video quality could have been better they are still acceptable to watch today just dont expect
a remastered series cus it hasn't happened to this box set.

There was a real Buzz surrounding this Show when i was a kid"Our very own Edward woodward going to the States and doing the American cool theme tuned thing and actually being a sucseess story.I dont remember missing an episode,The show was never less than entertaining,"Now all we need is for a dvd release of Edward woodwards other great show"Common as muck",He was brilliant in that show too and showed his Versatility playing a right proper Northener.

I loved Edward Woodward as the Equaliser. I was in my teens when it was on the tv. He was fantastic. Amazing acting and am so glad that I can watch it over and over again on dvd. I cant wait till it arrives.
