I love bleach, it was the only reason that got me into the anime scene. To be honest the first and second series are the best, after that it is tonnes of filler eps, but i love the series i would recomend it to other anime fans.

After having seen every episode in both english and japanese i would have to say that this DVD is more of an introductory chapter, this is brilliant and both the dubbing version and japanese are just as good as each other. Its Good for your money and i advice all should buy the next part of the series which was just recently released. This is a brilliant manga/anime and once you get into it and have watched all the episodes you will appreciate this more. so yes a definate buy as its engaging, good action and introduces the main characters well.

Bleach actually produced a very good dub. This is very well casted. And for the price it's good value for money. I think the purists over react about the dub and those people who don't like Manga Entertainment should be grateful that the distributor made the effort to bring Bleach to the UK in the first place.

Customer rating: 3 out of 5 stars Better in japanese

Bleach is a brillant anime series which has 150+ episodes so when you think about the price of 12 episodes it does not seem worth it my advice is to import the jap version as cheaper and english dubbing sucks when you have seen both versions

This is an excellent series and was one that when I first saw it I was going to buy as soon as it came out on DVD. There are only two problems that I have with this DVD, 1) is the fact that some of the Japanese is not translated. I don't mean the speech but little bubbles that pop up now and then. This would be more annoying if I hadn't read the mangas and seen it before with the fan subs. 2) this is a problem I have with all the anime DVD's that have been translated in to English. Like I said before if you have and still are watching the series with a fan sub, you will be used to the subs not translating some of the key words, like Shinigami. Just sounds strange when I read it, lol. Obviously this won't affect you as much if you are watching this for the first time.

These are the only reasons I did not give it a 5 star rating, as like I said it would bug the hell out of me if I didn't know what was being said.

I don't watch any anime in the translated format so I can't really comment on the voice acting, but I did switch it over to the English track for about second....I put it straight back. Overall tho this is an awesome series and is defo worth the watch.

Bleach is a new and excitingly different anime. Admittedly the first series is a bit slow, but enjoyable. However it is vital to understanding the following series which pick up the humour and action dramatically! The dubbed version is a bit dissappointing as i think the voice acting is a bit weak for some of the characters, however watching it with the original Japanese voice cast the entertainment factor soars!

Overall for any Anime Fanatic who has a good sense of humour Bleach is an essential!

Personally i rate it as 5/5!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars excellent anime series but...

This is probably my favourite anime at the moment and there are many good reasons as to why people should like it and take time to get to grips with the storyline etc, but the one problem this series encounters is the filler episodes that come in at a later stage, although this box set does have the best part of the series here with the mission to save rukia and so on. So why the 4 stars you ask, well simply because of the filler episodes and you can sometimes feel the lack of consistency, please don't put off though this is a truely amazing series overall and for this first part alone i would have given the full 5 stars if not more.

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Awesome anime!

Finaly Bleach is hitting the UK, it's been a long wait (Since I started watching it around this time last year on the web) Amazing value for money too! Bleach is a brilliant anime with loads of well thoguht out and intresting characters the plot really develops after the first filler season (which is pretty good too) with lots of twists and turns, it'll be a while until they catch up as I'm now on episode 143 but it's definately worth a look if your new or a verteran of anime!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars looking forward to this
