Combining the martial arts prowess of international action superstar Jackie Chan with state-of-the-art special effects, 'The Medallion' is an action-comedy co-starring Lee Evans, Claire Forlani, and Julian Sands.
Chan stars as Eddie, an indomitable Hong Kong cop who, after a fatal accident involving a mysterious medallion, is transformed into an immortal warrior with superhuman powers. Eddie enlists the help of British Interpol agent Nicole (Claire Forlani) to determine the secret of the medallion and face down the evil Snakehaed (Julian Sands) who wants to use it's magical powers for his own nefarious plans.

Don't listen to any of the negative reviews, they just wanted a serious film. The Medallion is basically a Jackie Chan version of The Golden Child, very very funny and great entertainment. And it's Jackie!
Jackie aims at the toddler's market.

Ok so this is not one of Jackie Chan's finest moments but this is largely due to the story and the supporting cast. There are some nice moments of action in the earlier part of the film (choreographed by Sammo Hung) but the rest of the movie is a case of what could have been. The basis of the story could have worked but there are 3 major problems with this movie - 1 - The story isn't executed very well, 2- Lee Evans is just not funny at all in this movie, 3- Clare Forlani is wooden. A film which should have aimed itself at a higher age range for sure.
Entertaining

Quite entertaining and funny, with Lee Evans delivering many funny moments. Can be predictable at times but still worth seeing, especially the outtakes. Not one of Jackie's finest action movies but still good. If you like Jackie Chan, then watch it ... you will be entertained.
