I really don't understand the negative reviews for this movie. I am a big horror fan and love all parts of the genre especially your low budget films, I was surprised to find that Big bad wolf was really enjoyable and didn't feel that low budget at all, the effects were pretty cool and there is some decent gore, nudity, blood and guts! Which is what you want from a film like this. The cast and the story were ok and pretty usual for a film like this. If you really love horror especially werewolf films then I think you will love this movie, and at this mega cheap price it's a gem and you are losing nothing.

 Awful

You know how sometimes people say about a movie it was so awful it was actually good?
This isn't one of those occasions. There is nothing redeeming here on any level. All hope was lost (and I'm an optermist) roughly 10 mins after the start. After which I began to contemplate the worst things in life. Its that bad you may involuntarily self harm. Avoid.

 Swayed by David Naughton

I wasnt sure if it was worth buying this film at first, but then I read that David Naughton was in it so I decided to buy it because he is in one of my all time favourite films "An American Werewolf In London".
His cameo role was incredibly short and not worth buying the film for, but I did enjoy the film, its a good mix of comedy and horror, sort of a horror version of the three little pigs lol
If you like werewolf films its worth buying, if you don't its still worth watching especially at the low price of £4.99.

big bad wolf, not so bad as it seems

Well i saw a clip of this on the sci-fi chanel a few weeks back and thought well this looks alright, then i read the first review. Which put me off a fair bit.

Again I took a risk with this not having much hopes and thinking have i made a big bad mistake, I was quite plesantly surprised :)

The gore was good, a few jumps here and there. the acting wasnt amazingly brilliant, but is good enough to sit all the way through and not wanna turn it off.

The story is quite good no where near as brilliant as dog soldiers and the american werewolevs films, but quite enjoyable, has its humour has its action and suspence, worth more than a 1 star definately.

A good attempt overall :) - dont be put off with the first review

Surprisingly Enjoyable... some originality and dark humour

Effects 5/5
Humour 4/5
Plot 4/5
Script 3.5/5
Acting 2.5/5

Overall: 3.5/5 - watchable at least once if only for the spin on the werewolf tale and the dark humour peppered throughout.

As a seasoned horror fan I found it's not much of a tension horror (I don't think it was intended to be), but there's a good tale and some genuine laugh-out-loud moments - perhaps it should be in horror comedy genre. The effects are first rate, surprisingly so as its a low budget film.

If the script had been a little tighter and (overall) cast better (mainly just the supporting cast thankfully) then it would have been worth a 4/5 - despite those little negatives, I enjoyed it and I'm keeping my copy to watch again in the future.

The region 2 cover is a bit naff and really doesn't sell the movie - it deserves more in my opinion. I'll be looking out for other work from the same screenwriters, effects team and director.

In summary I'd recommend it for at least one viewing.
