This Box Set features the following:

Man To Man: Live from his luxury apartment in London's glittering East End, Dean Learner: club owner, celebrity manager, restaurateur, entrepreneur and publisher of high-class gentlemen's magazines, invites you to meet some of his closest friends, Man to Man.

Garth Marenhi's Dark Place: Celebrated horror genius Garth Marenghi introduces his long-lost television project: a haunting medical drama set in Romford.

The best-selling writer is already known to hundreds as the creative force behind such classic chillers as The Ooze (can water die?), Afterbirth (a mutated placenta attacks Bristol) and Black Fang (rats learn to drive).

Darkplace was originally filmed in the 1980s and has since earned a cult reputation as one of the most terrifying and radical television programmes ever made.

Even now, Garth warns that the show, which he describes as an effort to radicalise men's minds, may prove 'too subversive, too dangerous, too damn scary'.

Garth Marenghi for those of you not familiar, is a spoof series that "aired" in the 80's on CH4, hence retro titles, look, everything. Garth is a horror writer a la Shaun Hutson. Every one of his novels seems to be set in Romford taking a largely stupid premise, like what would happen if Romford was over-run by giant rats and those rats could drive buses. The series is set over 6 episodes with similarly stupid plots, but brilliant writing and "acting" by Matthew Holness (the IT geek in The Office), Richard Ayoade (Man to Man, IT Crowd) and Matt Berry (check him out on youtube). A work of art - a crime not many people have seen it or that a second series was not commissioned.
Man to Man, features a spoof chat show with Richard Ayoade as Dean Learner and features 6 guests (all brilliantly played by Matthew Holness) that are obvious mickey takes out of people as varied as Uri Geller and Nigel Mansell. My personal fave is Merriman Weir, the folk singer. These guys are not only talented but funny. Seriously funny. Take a chance on it, it's worth it if only for the alien insemination in "Skipper The Eye-Child"!!

 Hilarious!

If you're into The Mighty Boosh you will definitely be into this. Not to be taken seriously at all, its supposedly set in the 80's hence the bad dubbing and special effects but thats what makes it so brilliant. The men are sexist and the one liners are genius.
