Truly Amazing,
Probably my favourite Walt Disney film of all time, except from Robin Hood, but this is easily as good.
I can't really sa much about this masterpiece other than it is awesome, it's for kids and adults.
Classic of all Disney classics!!

...but can someone please tell me (Play??) if this edition has got TWO dvds?
Jungle Book: Platinum Edition: 40th Anniversary version has 2 discs, and the contents listings are split - disc 1... disc 2.
Yet, although the contents listings are almost exactly the same for both discs (with the addition of the Picture Book on this Deluxe version), there's no mention of this one having TWO discs?!
Is it all on the one disc? ... or ...
Has it really got 2 discs, but Play haven't listed it properly?
Or (god forbid, as it'll stop me buying it) is it a 'flipper'...i.e. a 2-sided disc?
Help!!!
Can't people read?

I really don't know why everyone is complaining so much. Maybe if they had read the DVD title "The Jungle Book: Deluxe Edition (DVD & Picture Book)" they'd have noticed the very clear "Picture Book" part, where is the false advertising? We are paying for a picture book, a book of pictures and a very good one at that, its a collectors item. Anyway, great movie, the best of the disney films and a great collectors edition for an extra 3 quid.
A bit dissappointed

Maybe I am a bit dumb but when I bought this I spent the extra because I thought I would be getting the book included. Picture book is a picture book but it should have been clearer. I for one don't see the point of a book without words especially when there is one empty page and then a page with a picture. I also contacted play.com to check it was not a mistake - so I am with you Stuart Lawson and don't agree with you goose83! Disappointed. Love the DVD and the case though!
Excellent all round

What is wrong with this DVD?
NOTHING!
It's absolutely perfect. I especially like the case which looks like a book and the picture book is really good itself.
Loved the case, book and the film!
DEFO WORTH £17.99!

Well i don't know why people are complaining. Its a few £ more than the non Deluxe Edition and you get a nice looking display case and a picture book.
The film is brilliant and the sound and picture has been touched up a lot and looks great. The extras are really interesting as well.
Really is the best animated film of all time.
Like everyone else - disappointed

I was very much looking forward to the DVD and book edition of Jungle Book and was very surprised when the book did not have any words in it. I even went as far as contacting Play.com to confirm that it was not a mistake. This should have been a lot clearer on the description of the item. I'll be returning the item and getting my money back.

I was really pleased that jungle book has finally come to dvd and as always got the collectors gift box (when they are available), but like everyone else very disapointed with the book, i too was looking forward to reading at bedtime to my daughter but with no words in it no chance. A lot more to pay just for a picture book, oh well the box looks good on the shelf.
When is a book not a book?

Although the DVD is certainly feature-packed, I was very disappointed to discover that the "book" is *NOT* the original text, but actually a picture book. I guess the fact that it's listed as a 96-page book should have been a clue, but the details should have made this crystal clear - as I see I'm not the only one that's been caught out by this. If I had known, I would have bought the "pop-up" edition for my son.
