If you liked films like Life Aquatic and Royal Tenenbaums then you will probably enjoy this film like me. But not a lot really happens so defiantly for people looking for a slap stick comedy.

I bought this mainly because i love owen wilson and am never disapointed with his films, but i have to say this is probably his worst film ever! I watched this film with my boyfriend and we watched it all the way through just hoping it would get better at some point ...but it didnt! If you are a fan of Owen Wilson/Ben Stiller & Will Ferrell in their usual frat pack roles eg Zoolander, Anchorman etc then this film will be a big disapointment, very boring unrealistic and pointless film!

I was impressed by this film, it really portrays a colourful and also some insight into India's more rural scenery and array of cultures. It has a quirky humour and its slow pace is reflective of the characters train journey, so keep with it as its not about action and fireworks, stick to 'popcorn' movies if thats what you like.. This is my favourite of the Wes Anderson collection. I would highly recommend this film if you want something different and something that can leave you feeling a little renewed and even cultured! Great Movie played by great actors.

Well I am watching as I type - and it is a sad state of affairs when you are so bored you switch on the laptop!

The beginning is very boring and whilst the scenery is outstanding and there is an underlying humour (which was not personally a rib tickler for me) I appreciate that others may like it a lot more.

I liked the indie edge to it, and nice to see characters out of their stereotypical roles.
Not my cup of tea I am afraid!

Enjoy if you like this type of thing.

Wes Anderson's films aren't for everyone, but if you liked Bottle Rocket, you'll like this one. A good storyline, subtle humour & nice soundtrack. Owen Wilson is great (as usual!) & with Adrien Brody & Jason Schwartzman, very good as 3 distant brothers who set out on a spiritual train journey (that doesn't quite stay on the rails!) through richly coloured India. Give it a try ...

You have to have as long attention span for this one. I must admit I was bored for long periods, the start is terrible and many left the cinema after about 30 minutes. However it did pick up as time went on and I was glad I stayed. Nowhere near 5 stars in my opinion. Stick it through and you won't be too disappointed.

Funny, touching and beautifully shot. If you liked the Life Aquatic and Royal Tenenbaums you're sure to love it. If you're not normally a fan of Wes Anderson it's still worth a look. Enjoy!

I went to see this film off the back of initially seeing, and really enjoying The Royal Tenenbaums a few years ago. I wasn't particularly familiar with Wes Anderson's other works, but I am a massive Owen Wilson fan and liked the look of the Darjeeling Ltd. This film is now, simply one of my favourite films - full stop!
I wasn't quite sure what to expect after hearing a fairly poor review by Mark Kermode (culture show) a few days before I was due to see it. This film just goes to show that I should never again listen to the views of an arrogant, know-it-all, head-up-his-own-arse 'film critic'!
Anyway, I loved the film from start to finish, and was totally immersed in the setting and emotion of the 3 characters' soul searching discovery. It's also hilarious, as ever with the obvoius jokes and gags expertly avoided, and replaced with the quick-witted comedy now familiar to me of Wes Anderson's films.
The day after seeing the film I immediatly bought the soundtrack which is a great listen, and instantly transports you back to the film!!
Since then I have invested in Wes Anderson's directorial works such as 'The Life Aquatic', 'Rushmore' and 'Bottle Rocket', all of which are great.
In summary, if you've enjoyed any Wes Anderson films on any level before, Darjeeling Ltd. in my opinion tops them all.

Plus I now have a new found desire to travel to India, which I didn't have before!! - Brilliant!

Can't wait to own it on DVD

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Brilliant!

Quite simply one of the best films I've seen in years. I laughed and laughed and cried as well. If you like Wes Anderson's other films then you'll love this. Fantastically acted and brilliantly cast. It has a great soundtrack as well. I can't praise it enough. I saw it in the cinema and left knowing that I'd just seen a great film by a great filmmaker. Do yourself a favour.....but it!
