I love the It Crowd so much. Channel 4's best programme that they air (drawing with the Simpsons of course!). The comedy is superb and Noel Fielding is so funny as the goth that's behind the red door. If you've enjoyed such TV comedies such as Little Britain or The Mighty Boosh, you'll like this! (I did!)

The IT Crowd focuses on the oddballs who work in the IT department at Reynholm Industries. Roy is a quick tempered but affable Irish geek and Moss is a socially awkward but brilliant geek, togehter they are the IT department. Their world gets a little brighter when Reynholm Denham hires Jen as the new head of department and later she becomes the relations manager. Jen is a typical London girl obsessed with shoes and trying to have it all, a boyfriend and a good career. What sounds like a sort of base show is actually one of the funniest things on TV.
The show has a very manic and obsurd pace often focusing on the groups difficulty to communicate with the rest of the company. They're unappreciated and even discriminated at times. As the show rolls on plots such as German cannibals and state of the art bras become the expected. The show is so manic that everything is funny and all 3 characters are fantastic. Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding co-stars as affable goth Richmond and provides some mega laughes. As Season 2 rolls on Reynholm is replaced by his sex mad son when he commits suicide (so funny, trust me) and the show is given new twists and even sanier storylines for you to follow.
The DVD is light on extra features but the show is so good that you barely notice. (Also see Mighty Boosh, Black Books & Spaced)

ZOMG! This comedy series is amazingly funny! So many series these days are dull and cheesy but the IT Crowd is so geeky! The jokes are smart, the humour is sarcastic and the storylines are plain weird. Good enough ti rival the Mighty Boosh (and random enough as well!)

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Have u tried turning it off and on again?

So many "sitcoms" dont work these days which is strange with the unbelievable ocean of writing talent out there.whats happening you tv producers?...pull ur socks up....but this comedy succeeds where so many fall down.this is mainly due to the writing which is so detailed and peppered with IN jokes its like being part of some nerdy support group.also the performances of practically everyone involved bring the ideas to life without being cheesy or overly stereotypical.Moss is almost heroic and the other main players also.highlights to watch for.the gay episode with the literal gay musical is comedy legend...Jens russian inspired smokers hell....return of the prodigal son....the wiseman sketch....and practically every scene Richmond appears.comedy GOLD.

Amazing. Funny as hell and about a million times the comedy Garth Marenghi's Darkplace could ever be! Love it!

I can't believe I never watched the first series, the natural successor to Father Ted, although not as original, it's still the best sitcom to come around in ages, with sterling performances from the whole cast it's another surreal world that you can't help but get sucked into, I just hope the 3rd series comes around quickly.

Making Little Britain look rather bland, The IT Crowd is nearly as good as Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (also starring Mr Ayoade) and has the irresistable silliness of Father Ted.
This fantastic series celebrates the nerd in all his glory. Long live the geek. It is official - Uncool is the new cool.
