saw this dvd in shop and thought this looks good, london being flooded!! I loved day after tomorrow so i thought why not give this a try. Wish i hadnt now, i didnt want to be to harsh on the film but it looks really low budget!! The actors gave average performances at best and the ending was very very weak!! Id adv ise to rent before you buy this.

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible film. i chucked it in the bin i felt so ashamed to have it amongst my collection.

This film is full of action not a scene went by without me asking myself "What is going to happen next?" but when i say the ending is weak i mean very weak London is still flooded and it ends on a sad note.

I was gonna give this a 4 star before reading the reviews. I didn't think it was "too" bad for a British budget film. Some quality british actors and some of the scenes were far more realistic than day After Tomorrow, and imo alot less melodramatic and realistic story wise (the storyline with his dad was a bit daft, might have made more sense with the cut bits?). Didn't think the acting or CG was the best but i go for realism first anytime. Did feel like it could have taken the film alot further though which is why after reading the reviews and realising theres a 4hour version i now feel like i've been robbed, so glad i didn't buy it at full price when it was released but still not bad and interesting film

i watched half of it and got bored! the acting isnt that great and the storyline is worse it has to be one of the worst movies (or infact the worst) i have ever seen.

Bought this DVD because I had seen it on TV. The TV version was excellent but on the dvd they have cut a lot of things out that made it good. On the TV version you saw how it effected two kinds of people. The one's who know what was happening and what was about to come and the civilians who was just trying to stay alive and waiting to be rescued. Really dissappointed I just hope they listen to peoples comments and bring out an un-cut version.

I bought this when it first came out on DVD as I had read about it. I enjoyed it.
I was not happy, however, that when it was on TV it was 4 hours long. The DVD version is only 1 hour and 40 minutes!!!
WHen I watched it on TV there was over 2 hours of extra subplots, special effects, etc.
I would recommend anyone to tape it off the telly, as you will be wasting your money getting the scaled down DVD.

It was boring, i only gave it 3* because of the fantastic special effects. The acting was terrible, it was too long and dragged out and it practically copied the day after tomorrow. Poor poor tv series/film

I Thought this Film was exellent i was on the Edge of my Bed when i watched it Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday

i Recomend it is a Great Buy

This film started great! The Flood at the beginning in Wick was very well done, and the Flooding of London itself was Fantastic, But if you have just watched the TV Release of this, in 2 parts, i think many will agree that Part one was Much better than part two, All the Action and gripping moments happen in Part one, while part 2 mainly deals with the Drama aspect of this catastrophy.

Before you read on, this contains mild spoilers.

Furthermore, this film has some great actors, but thir parts are rather wooden, and the performances are less than great.

The story follows certain seperate and unconnected groups of individuals and their battle to survive.
However, the over dramatisation of some of them was just frankly, too much!! For example, the plumber and his daughter, their not entertaining, His charachter is Boring and really not too bright, Her charachter is annoying, and whiney! Also they play no part in the main story, and you could edit them out of the film entirely and no one would notice, it would also improve the quality of the film in my oppinion. At least the subway workers were mildly amusing.

The story was good, the action was good, many of the charachters were questionable, the way it was put together though was rather poor as after the flood hit, it just got less and less interesting as it was trying to focus too much on Emotional pain, and Robert carlyles Cliche ex-wife love interest.. Several times you just want to say to him "Grow up and Get over it!" Poor scripting in my oppinion.

Last but not least, the ending is sudden, and doesnt really complete the story.If you get the chance to see this 2 parter on TV, its worth a watch just to see the special effects and london getting flooded, at least part one is anyway.

With a different Director, Better Screenplay, and a slightly adjusted Script, this could have been amazing! but just doesnt deliver. Ill give it 3 stars as part one was really good! just wish it had kept up the pace.
