Blood Ties: Complete Season 1 (5 Discs)

We're only up to episode 7 in the UK so far....but I am SO in love with this show that I am eagerly awaiting the release of the DVD's to watch them over and over!! It had me hooked from the pilot and no show has done that to me before!! It has everything - romance, humour, passion, drama, the supernatural. The scripts are very clever, going from an amusing episode one week, to a very intense episode the next. The acting is superb, you never once think, 'yeah, as if' as all the characters suck you (pun not intended!) into their world!!! January can't come soon enough for me to get my hands on these DVD's and get my much needed fix of Henry Fitzroy!!

A gentleman vampire never at a loss for a cool phrase (Henry Fitzroy, played by upcoming star Kyle Schmid) helping an ex-police woman (Vicki Nelson, played by Christina Cox) who's now working as a private investigator solve cases full of mystery and the supernatural - but of course the real police in the person of Vickis ex-partner/lover and ambitious officer Mike Celluci (Dylan Neal) can't just stay out of this, either...
While the series starts off pretty well already it's only during the following few episodes when the cases get more riddled and the romantic triangle between Henry, Vicki and Mike gets more tense, that the show evolves into an absolute must-see for every fan of modern fantasy or vampire/mystery series! The cast acts brilliantly throughout the entire season and especially the dialogues between Henry and Vicki are pure delight to witness. Don't miss it!

Counting the days till this DVD set is released, ive been completely blown away by this fantastic new series on the TV. Not being a tv watcher for quite sometime, this series hit me like a sledge hammer..no kidding!
From scenes that have you screaming at the tv one minute in utter frustration with the characters, and the next laughing at the well placed humour..to the next gasping at the OMG moments, and there are lots of OMG moments trust me on this!
Great plots great acting.some so beautifully subtle it took my breath away on more than one occasion, it will rip your heart out stomp on it then gently place it back in your chest.
Pop this little treat in your basket now..you will not regret doing so

And it is, I never normally say it but this is way better then the books! The relationship between Vicki, Mike and Henry is amazing, so good that you can actually see where the flow between them is. The playfulness between colleen and Vicki is great to watch. There is never a boring episode, and the actress who plays Vicki is very witty. But most of all, Kyle Schmid who plays Henry is HOT and although may not exactly be quite what I imagined henry to look like still plays his part very well. All in all A brilliant series that I asked for my birthday!

For all of us out there who dearly miss Buffy and Angel.
This series is fantastic. The chemistry between the characters is electrifying.
For all of you who like the weird and the wonderful this show will not dissapoint!!
And a hot looking vampire (aka Henry) makes it all the more unmissable!!
