  Excellent Customer Service

I bought this box set for the kids, as we have seen several of the films, and wanted to see more - and what a bargain price. When we received the boxed set, unfortunately, there was a duplicate episode, but PLAY.COM immediately offered a solution. They kept a check on the returning package, and advised they had the replacement set, when the replacement was sent out. Not only that, they refunded my postage and also called me personally to ensure we had received it and were happy. TOP MARKS for customer service and what a personal touch in this day and age of electronic buying. I recommend Play.com to all our friends, and they now especially deserve a 5 star rating. Many, many thanks from a happy and highly impressed customer. I will be spending my money with you all the time.

  What a Bargin!

I had not seen the series before, so decided to go and buy them. I never thought I'd find them all at such a low price though til I visited play.com.

I also wasn't sure if I would enjoy Harry Potter, but the wife and I have watched the whole series twice over within just a couple of months.

A must have.

We are in our 50s and new harry potter fans. Seen the set at great price and bought it ,now every weekend our 2 grandsons 5year old and 3 year old are hooked on watching it. Great value for the winter nights.

An amazing price for equally amazing films!!!!!

Love all harry potter's except the new one, (don't let me get into that!!)
The latest "Order of the phenix" is fantastic and this is truly an emotional rollercoster with great mystery and suspense; even some humor throughout each film!!!
Lots of action, good acting and the best english films you will see for ages.

A MUST BUY for anyone who doesn't hate wizards.

I am the newest Harry Potter fan...

My Husband or I have never been Harry Potter fans, have never been into the genre of fantasy books or films. Never read Harry Potter or seen any of the fims. My 9 year old Niece has always been a fan and when I saw the films 1-5 on Play.com for £14.99 I thought, at that price we might aswell buy it and see what all the fuss is about!

We have absolutely loved the first 5 films! I expected to hate them as I usually hate anything like this - but I have thoroughly enjoyed the films, I found them exciting with excellent special effects and I can now see why adults and children alike love these films and books. JK Rowling has got some imagination I tell you! Just brilliant.

We are planning to see the 6th film at the cinema very soon and my next project is to buy the books and read them all! I never, ever thought I would hear myself say that lol!

Top marks!

5 Great Films For £14.99 (Currently)!

| | See all MartDude16's reviews (5)

I have watched every Harry Potter film to date (including 'Half Blood Prince' and they have all been spectacular. Out of the 6 so far, the first five were the best and most enjoyable, and they are the 5 included in this boxset (although 'HBP' wasn't that bad and had its moments). I would definately recommended it, for kids, for teenagers and hey even adults will enjoy it. Definately buy it at its current price of £14.99 whilst you have the chance, I would have ended up paying alot more for it.

Good if you haven't read the books

If i hadn't read the books I would of gave this 5 stars, because the movies themselves are great, however if you read the books you will notice just how off the mark these movies are, for example in the latest movie, they removed a whole fight scene from the book, but for some reason decided to make one up out of the blue, why write your own material when Rowling already wrote it? Still though if you haven't read the books you won't be disappointed. (btw a lot of the movies are off the mark not just no. 6)

  Star for each film

| | See all Harreen11's reviews (2)

My four stars are for the first four films. Philosophers Stone started it all and made it exciting while leading all the way up to Goblet of Fire got better and better with the 4th being the pinnacle. For some reason however the 5th and the newly released 6th are way off the mark. These are the most boring of the 7 books but I do not see how from goblet of fire order of the phoenix can be so different. Overall i enjoyed the first four films but the 5th really isn't a talking point of the series

  Now a Potter convert.

I never caught the potter buzz first time round but deceided to give them another try with the release of the new film.
This confirmed two things for me a) I was not a big fan of the first two and b) the last three are amazing.
Let me explain myself i had to see all of them to understand the context of the later ones but the first two for me personally i had seen too many bit and pieces of them over the years, but as they progressed i enjoyed them more and more.
The last two are very dark and disconcerting and in stark contrast to the first two.
I never thought i would be a convert but find myself more excited about the next after i put away my stubborness and just saw them for what they where.
