His Curse Will Become His Power.
Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) was only a teenaged stunt biker when he sold his soul to the devil (Peter Fonda). Years later, Johnny is a world renowned daredevil by day, but at night, he becomes the Ghost Rider of Marvel Comics legend. The devil's bounty hunter, he is charged with finding evil souls on earth and bringing them to hell. But when a twist of fate brings Johnny's long-lost love (Eva Mendes) back into his life, Johnny realizes he just might have a second chance at happiness - if he can beat the devil and win back his soul. To do so he'll have to defeat Blackheart (Wes Bentley), the devil's nemesis and wayward son, whose plot to take over his father's realm will bring hell on earth!

I had to take my hat off to it. After reading several bad reviews by critics I was disappointed that it was such a let down. I have to say I was not particulaly looking forward to watching it even though I am a bit of a 'super hero' movie fan. However after renting it my mind was instantly changed and I bought it the next day! I mean... how cool is it that this guy just catches fire? This film will ceratinly give you something to do on a Saturday night and just for £5! Good fun but won't necassarily set your head on fire! Enjoy!
I know this film was much slated by the critics, but thought it was great fun. I mean, come on, how seriously can you take a guy who rides around on a bike with his head on fire? The special effects were good enough, and the characters likeable. Ok, it's not a brilliant film, but it's good enough to watch on a Saturday night when there's nothing else on Tv. It's also harmless enough to watch with the rest of the family too.
It' won't set your world on fire, but at £5 it's well worth it.
This film is good harmless fun with plenty of the cast hamming it up. particularly Cage and Fonda. Eva Mendes provides the prverbial eye candy - quite excellently. I thought the graphics were pretty god with some good action sequences. Did anybody else think that Cage was trying to pull an Elvis impression on more than one occasion during this film? Sam Elliot also appears in his proverbial stereotypical cowboy role - nothing against the guy but can somebody give him something different so we can see if he has any range!
