His Curse Will Become His Power.

Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) was only a teenaged stunt biker when he sold his soul to the devil (Peter Fonda). Years later, Johnny is a world renowned daredevil by day, but at night, he becomes the Ghost Rider of Marvel Comics legend. The devil's bounty hunter, he is charged with finding evil souls on earth and bringing them to hell. But when a twist of fate brings Johnny's long-lost love (Eva Mendes) back into his life, Johnny realizes he just might have a second chance at happiness - if he can beat the devil and win back his soul. To do so he'll have to defeat Blackheart (Wes Bentley), the devil's nemesis and wayward son, whose plot to take over his father's realm will bring hell on earth!

I know this film was much slated by the critics, but thought it was great fun. I mean, come on, how seriously can you take a guy who rides around on a bike with his head on fire? The special effects were good enough, and the characters likeable. Ok, it's not a brilliant film, but it's good enough to watch on a Saturday night when there's nothing else on Tv. It's also harmless enough to watch with the rest of the family too.
It' won't set your world on fire, but at £5 it's well worth it.

 Not that bad at all

I am a big Marvel fan... and I could point out 100 things that are wrong in all the films, from Superman to Spiderman and even Transformers and other films based on games, comics books etc.

The film isn't bad at all, much better then Daredevil or Superman (pants). Watch it how it is... if you are not into SciFi and fantasy then why bother watching films like this in the first place.

Saying Cage was dull... well how would you fell if you had no soul?? The Devils says "Forget about friends, forget about family, forget about love" then burns his heart... now would you say a person like this should show any emotions???? I think Cage plays the role how it is, a souless person without any emotions. I don't remember Spawn having much of a smile on his face either.

Also from a graphics designer point of view and cgi animator... trust me the animation and cgi are top notch, I doubpt people have any idea on animating a skeleton, how a skeleton would move... etc. He sure ain't Spiderman, Ghost Ride wasn't meant to be agile and evasive.

People who didn't like it should do us all a favour and stop watching films like these just to bring down the ratings. I loved it my Girl Friend liked it and she is not into these kind of films at all.

Great comic book adaptation full of action!

Dont listen to all the people slagging off this film it really is quite good!! What people dont understand is that its a comic based film! and thats what you get. For me its almost as if the comic book has jumped off the pages and made itself into a film. I recommend this just grab some munch sit back and enjoy. Its one of the the best roles nicholas cage has done, and if your a fan then you wont be disapointed!!

Grab yourself a bargain and a good night in! Recommend 4/5

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The special effects were great and the story was suprisingly satanic for a marvel film. This was a very good idea and whoever thought of it deserves a pat on the back! When I saw it was Cage playing the part of Johnny, I was a bit worried, based on his latest abominations (Wicker Man, National Treasure) but he was actually really good in this. Also, Ghost Rider itself is the definition of cool on the flaming motor bike of judgement! Very Enjoyable P.S That is Nicks own hair, not a wig.

For me, a fan of marvel, and a lover of films.
I thought this was an entertaining movie, ok not the best marvel movie, but certainly not the worst.
If your looking to be entertained and can over look some occasional bad acting, then buy this, its a really entertaining movie with great effects and if your a fan of "dark" things, i.e. Deamons, the devil, etc. This is a film for you!
