all are classic movies in there own way a must buy
Rocky: this is were creed gives an underdog a shot at the title and rocky is the man , from of the streets and a nobody to having a title shot is amazing how its done....a great story and great start to the francise ***** (5)
rocky 2: second chance for the title ....rocky is now known to all boxing fans now and when he gets the secoind chance its a bigger fight that the 1st since they all thought creed would beat him no problem in the 1st movie a great sequal **** (4)
rocky 3: most movies by the 3rd one if they get to it , arent great they drag out ...but rocky 3 is amazing ...rocky wanting to retire then he is challenged by clubber (mr t) he still wants to retire , but knowing his matches we fixed he want to prove himself a great 3rd movie creed becomes rockys new trainer ***** (5)
rocky 4...this time rocky is retired but a event between creed and ivan drago brings rocky back again into the ring and its personal and this guy drago is a powerful machined trained using high tec stuff and the best of its time ...rocky using nature as his training who will win ?? **** (4)
rocky 5...now retired for good , he mets a young man tommy gunn who he takes under his wing and trains him ...as time goes on tommy rebels agaisnt rocky and gives him no thanks....then rocky once again has a fight but not in the ring its a street fight....tommy gunn takes on his trainer ...despite all the reviews on this one it wasnt that bad *** ( 3)
rocky balboa (rocky 6) rocky has no intrest at fighting at all in this one are training anyone he owns a resturant and is happy ...until he sees a sim fight between him and the current holder of the title ....and all the towns people say that rocky has no way of winning if it were true ..so again for the last time rocky is back in the ring for his last fight he losses but it proves if rocky was in his peak he would have won .... a great way to finish the francise of ROCKY ***** (5)
all 6 movies show ....courage , love, hate , revenge , sadness , victory and defeat what a boxset to own

I do have to say, all the Rocky films are fantastic in their own way but i have been looking around and some companys are selling this very same boxset for 24.99, so if you ask me i would shop somewhere else or at least until they put the price down from 31.99. But i would recommend buying the films just dont waste some of your money.

Top 10 DVD Reviewer
This is basically the same box-set as the Rocky Heavy weight collection, You know the story, as they are repeated many times in this collection, but nobody was expecting the final movie to be the best out of the six.
ROCKY 1976
A low budget drama started this iconic series.
Don't expect the comic book fights of Rocky 3 and 4.
but as a story of a guy down on is luck, getting a million to one shot, this movie is hard to beat.
*****
ROCKY 2 1979
This again is a superb drama. With Rocky getting a second chance at the title. The training sequence has now become a thing of legend.
A brilliant sequel, that is as good as the original.
*****
ROCKY 3 1982
This is where the series turned predictable and comic book. This is more a action film tha the previouse films. But has a great villian in Mr T as Clubber Lang.
This might not be well written as the previouse films, but the final fight is fast and furious.
***
ROCKY 4 1985
This is as far away from the original Rocky as it could possibly get. This is Rocky for the MTV generation.
This is just a re-run of Rocky 3, as Rocky fights the Russians. But as a guilty pleasure the film is great.
The final fight between Rocky and Drago is outstanding.
***
ROCKY 5 1990
This is the weakest in the saga.
Rocky loses his money and it's back to basics, where Rocky started off. Now training a up and coming boxer Tommy Gun.
A good idea of Rocky going back to basic's is ruined by a corny script.
**
ROCKY BALBOA 2006
This has to be one of the greatest come backs in cinema history. Rocky having one last shot before he is too old. The plot is not as silly as it sounds. Back is the drama of the first two film, and Stallone shows that he can act.
This is not just a good final entry for the much loved series, But the best Rocky film of them all.
*****
This is a very good box-set, only letdown by the middle three comic book films. But is worth buying just for ROCKY, ROCKY 2 and the outstanding ROCKY BALBOA.
For entertainment this collection is a Knock out !
Terrible

6 rocky movies, what more can you ask for. Granted, the first and last ones are much better than the rest but its still gold. Who cares about extras, you will buy this for the films, and it will be well worth it. Classic character after another, i.e Apollo Creed, Mr.T and a Don King lookalike, and some crazy storylines makes for a brilliant boxset of films which you would be silly to miss.
Look @ me I love to complain

Who cares, really? as long as I get 6 quality doses of Rocky action.
complaints about extras.....really, hardly seems the effort to leave a message about if you would buy it because of X`Y`Z new extra.
oh wait, thinking about it...???
LOL

This should be the knockout blow we have all been dreaming of. At last, the holy grail of DVD has landed. I have collected DVDs since its UK incarnation back in 2000. I have spent hundreds of pounds, devoted countless hours on the internet, and abandoned grocery shopping to dedicate all my time and energy reading DVD magazines in supermarket stores. Guys, we should throw a party. This is a time to rejoice. I fully appreciate the fears and concerns of the two previous reviewers. It would be heartbreaking if the studios decided to con the Rocky faithful yet again. To be honest, this ought to have been released in time for Rocky Balboa. Does not anyone care about the goodhearted faithful out there? Come on Stallone show a bit of muscle. Mr. T., I pitty you. Drago, I will break you and Tommy Gunn - there's a man wishing to speak to you. It all better be there or there's another more formidable opponent the Rocky markerters will need to worry about. Chin up.
