I agree with the 3* rating comments but wouldn't even give this 3*. Whilst I love The Beatles and have everything they ever released as studio recordings these 60s pop star films were simply cashing in on the fame of those involved before (as they thought would soon happen) they all faded into obscurity.

In its own booklet it is slated as a piece of cinematic art (well I suppose that will be the only place it gets that accolade) but basically this is what three episodes of "The Monkees" TV series would have been like if it they were strung together and had more money thrown at them - slicker with better film quality but ultimately the same weak plot to highlight the antics of the lads. Good grief you would think that throwing so much money at making a film like this, they could have come up with a better script/screenplay. The plot is as weak as 3 cups of tea from 1 tea bag.

I suppose that it's better then "A Hard Day's Night" (after all that was black and white) but that isn't saying much and doesn't make it a good film by any stretch of the imagination. It's really just 60s disposable rubbish, like half of the TV series' of that decade. Don't insult your intelligence or waste your money buying it. It's just a load of 1960's bo**ocks.
