Not your typical psychological thriller/gorefest. It explores human psyche to its limits. A group of medical students plan to commit the perfect murder. Its a well developed story with likeable characters (despite the premise). Solid performances from the cast and great camera work. If you liked Saw, Hostel and other similar films, you will like Pathology. A new twist on gore, loads of fun and entertaining from beginning to end.

It's ok for you to love your job, love the career you're in, love working with the people you work with. But when you only have a job thanks to death is it really normal to enjoy it?
Here is a film which takes a deep into the dark world of pathology, a world which is all about death. The story is dark, very dark but you could almost imagine it happening for real. The script is perhaps a little too medical to fully get into the story but its engrossing non the less. It's easy to get into the film, care for the characters and want to know where its going. It's a film which'll keep you on your toes even though there's no twists around the corner.
The acting is the weaker part of this film, a few of the performances seem a little emotionless and flat, not as good as it could've been but still doesn't take away the enjoyment.

Overall: Pathology is an original and unique film, although its not exactly "brain science" its still interesting to watch. It's enjoyable on the ground level but also opens up a few places where you can ask yourself some serious questions.

 Great stand out film.

When Ted Grey takes a new job at the pathology department he doesn't count on the workers there extending there abilities to the living.

Pathology was a great film. It built great to the end and had a fantastic climax. The film was a great pychological thriller. You would definitely like this if you like some gore and good stories of revenge. The acting by Milo Ventimiglia in particular was great as was the rest of the cast. The gore in the film was like the autopsy scene at the beginning of saw 4, but it was better done and more realistic.

The film is dafinitely worth a watch. But in my opinion would only stand out for a particular audience. I think it's worth the money and I enjoyed it. I personally think the DVD could have had more special features, and its not that hard to add a trailer to the DVD.

Wow this film really was truly sleep inducing, the plot sounded brilliant but all that really happened was a bunch of students stood around an autopsey table trying to guess which one killed the person on the table the night before,i have to say i may of missed the good bits as it sent me to sleep on several occasions and every time i woke up they were still stood around the table,i really must have missed something, extremely boring

 An Evil Grey's Anatomy

The story goes that Pathologist Ted Grey is brought into a secret society who all believe that there should be more dead bodies and less human beings. One by one they must kill a civilian in the method they chose and bring the corpse to the table in which the five other pathologists must work out how he was murdered. And how do you win? Only by murdering in a fashion that the other pathologists cannot detect allows you to win this sick and twisted game.

Pathology isn't afraid to play dirty stealing ideas from torture porn such as Saw and Hostel but one thing it does bring to the table is morality. At points in the film you uncontrollably sympathies with these sadistic killers and for what? What they call reliving this earth of the scum that infect it. Much like Aileen Wurnos in "Monster" you can understand her.

Motives making this far more interesting that it starts out being. As long as you're willing to take the bad with the good there is a lot to like here. Its realistic and bone crunching horrific moments that will feaster in your mind for days on end down to its humorous yet big headed characters who will either entertain or annoy, Just don't expect to be moved or to be able to use your brain there's nothing to be left to the imagination here. This is your everyday torture porn flick that delivers more on the trailer than it does in the film.

Which is a real shame considering its potential; this could have been a grown-up thriller that doesn't rely on a dumb premise but rather on the subjects being raise. If they were to make a bigger fuss over morality and ethics this would have been far more interesting.
