a stupid story topped of a truly terrible film. when you watch the first half of a film and its a bit confusing there probably will be a twist at the end like the sixth sense willis was dead from the begining , that was a good ending. but this film hes a super natural being wat did they expect us to do oh should of seen that one coming. really bad film

I read a review which said that this film was somewhere between Donnie Darko and Memento. Sadly, it isn't. It is boring and unintelligent. In the bottom rank of films from it's genre, such as The Buttefly Effect. Ryan Reynolds gives a fairly good performance but just a terrible plot and script. You have been warned.

I love metafiction stuff so i really liked how each of the 3 storylines interacted with each other and linked, it was clever and there were some interesting concepts explored with it.

However the story itself was no way as smart or open to interpretation as people seem to think. One of the first lines Reynold's character says in the film, whilst high is "Am i God?". Muuurrrr i wonder if that forced, out of place line has any importance to the plot? (ok technically he wasn't 'god' as in christian diety god but watch the film and you'll see what i mean, it's all basically just explained to you in a blatent expositional speech)

Ryan Reynold's has always been a charasmatic actor and here he proves he can take on more serious roles as well, each role felt different without needing to become a charicture.

The advertising for this cinematic release was very impressive, and I could not wait to buy the DVD. However, on viewing I was torn between the professional acting and the confusing story line, that thought it was more clever than it actually was. The Critics spoke about it having metaphysical signifance, perhaps so, but it seemed a derivative of "Donnie Darko", and the ending was contextually "Jungian", but simultaneously felt over sentimental.

I will start by saying Ryan Reynolds i one of my favourite actors and still is even though this is such a terrible movie. pointless waste of my time. The only one positive from this film is Ryan Reyolds acting. He still does a good job playin the parts he plays.. STEER CLEAR OF THIS

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

I quite enjoyed this one. Ryan Reynolds demonstrated that he can, in fact, act - something I wouldn't have previously thought possible, taking into account his previous efforts. The fact that he, and most of the other principles in the film (Hope Davis and Melissa McCarthy in particular), played multiple characters is even more noteworthy. The film has a very 'indie' feel, and reminded me of 'Primer' at times. It bears comparisons with 'Donnie Darko', while, for me at least, being more accessible. Certainly one of the more original sc-fi movies I've seen recently, definitely recommended.

The acting in this film is excellent, but you cant really call this a film. I would rather watch some re-runs on tv than to watch this. Story line?!?! if you didnt se that one coming then well....
Reynolds should stick to comedy :)

I absolutely love this film. I have to admit I was kinda confused at times but it was a good type of confusion! It was so clever and interesting and the end just blew me away. Its a film I could watch over and over again and see something new every time. Loved it!
