Giselle is a princess dreaming of her happy ever after as she sings her way to true love in an enchanted forest in animated style(literally)....but Narissa the evil queen has other ideas when she banishes Giselle to the real world of Manhattan in modern day New York to be lost amidst a completely different world.....The scene is set then for a modern day twist for a perfect real life fairytale in a cross between Snow White and Pretty Woman....what's your dream? Amy Adams plays an innocent Princess Giselle who is reluctantly helped at first by a divorce lawyer in the form of Patrick Dempsey (Greys Anatomy) and followed into the real world by an equally dashing Prince Edward played by James Marsden and an evil queen Narissa with Susan Sarandon's help....What transpires is a totally sensational chemistry based Disney with lots of humour song and dance with a touch of panto theme(watch out for the song and dance sequence in New York's Central Park as it is magic)....Will Giselle find her Prince Charming?....Simplicity is the key to a very entertaining colourful Disney with the characters all combining to make it one of the top Disneys to be released in recent years.....Very Enjoyable family entertainment and comes very Highly recommended...

Without a shadow of doubt ENCHANTED is one of the best movies of 2007 and a true Disney masterpiece.
This truely is a unique twist on the usual Disney movies and has something special about it - a feel good factor that goes of the scale.
I`ve seen this 4 times at the cinema now (I work at a cinema and get in free) and I love it more each time.
Giselle (Amy Adams) plays her role superbly well and Robert (James Marsden) is great as the dumbfounded lawyer who finds himself with a real live fairytale princess on his hands. (Although strictly speaking Giselle isn`t a princess as she hasn`t married a prince)
But this truly is a fantastic feel good film for everyone - kids, aunts, uncles, mums, dads, grannys and grandads.
In fact if you`re a fan of Disney you`ll love this and it may become your favourite Disney movie of all time - I know it`s now up their as one of my favourite Disney movies of all time.
Don`t miss out - see ENCHANTED.

Just don't. Save yourself the pennies. Because honestly there are far better family films out. Stardust for example being truely enchanting. This was near painful. Amy Adams plays the part beautifully showing humour and development, but the film in general feels forced and doesn't do her justice. The music seems out of place and the stroy line is slightly squew-wiff, moving too slow and then suddenly completely unfolding which is unsatisfying. But, when all is said is done, this is a film for children, and they will enjoy it. It just hasn't grasped the key element of a family film, executed so brilliantly by other films (Stardust!) and that is that the entire family must enjoy it. 'Enchanted' somewhat neglects the adult viewers and it suffers for it. It's a three because there is no two and a half.

When I went to America, I went past a cinema and saw an advert for Enchanted. I was dieing to see it at home, but wasn't out! So I begged my mum and dad to go and see it.They agreed but my dad seemed to think it wouldn't be good
On the night we saw it, my dad and methought it was the best film we'd seen in 2007!
Eventhough my mum didn't like it, don't take it as bad news. The only reason was, was that my mum was jetlagged andthought it was 2 o'clock in the morning!

  Truly magical

  A good family film

This is certainly a good film that can be enjoyed by the whole family, as it takes the line that films such as Shrek have by including moments that adults find funny. There are some genuinely funny moments, but as a whole its a bit too cliché.

The idea of cartoon characters suddenly finding themselves in the real world is nicely dealt with, but has been done before. I would highly recommend this film to those with kids, as its probably more enjoyable for adults when watching it with them.
