This is so good. Its really funny and gets better every time I watch it again. I have never seen Rupert Everett as good and his send up of Camilla PB is just excellent. You need to watch it more than once and like Shrek, you see more each time. Excellent!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Give it a go!

Just watched this film and I must say it was absolute drivel in the best possible way! Don't go expecting an astounding storyline or fantastic acting but let go and let the sheer idiocy wash over you! It is worth watching if only for Rupert Everett's performance!

Whats the difference between a good film and a bad film. A good film can be up and beyond 3 hours but seems to end very quickly.A bad film may only be 1 and a half hours long but never seems to end. This film falls into that catergory. Awful.

Like Carry on Columbus, and to a lesser extent The Ladykillers and Italian Job - remaking an old fashioned comedy and trying to update it at the same time never works. The girls are attractive enough, and the performances are OK, but this is still the worst of the bunch and if you have a thing for schoolgirls then any of the originals provide more entertainment than this.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Good fun and reasonably true to the originals

This is good lightweight comedy, which is pretty much what can be said of the original films. There are no great surprises here - the plot is pretty much a straight line from A to B, with a few good out-loud laughs, and a fair few cheesy ones thrown in to boot. It is set in current times, and as such has references to pop-culture, but these blend well and aren't jarring if you were expecting an exact remake. Acting is reasonable, as is casting. All in all, a pleasing and entertaining update of a classic series, that is deeply sympathetic to it's source. Great fun for all ages.

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Great fun! Well worth a watch!

The girls embark on a plan to raise half a million quid to save the school. Acting is little rough in places, so is the script and directing. Gemma Aterton is superb, as is Russell Brand. Shame Russell Brand didn't have a larger role to play. Everything about the film starts slow and builds momentum towards the end. Even the actors seem to be stronger towards the end. Oddly the girls come across as somewhat tame compared to the girls in the original 1950's film, despite the somewhat risky jokes. Jokes are a bit thin on the ground, but there are some genuinely very funny moments here and there. Music is good and brightens everything up. All in all, well worth watching!!

Customer rating: 5 out of 5 stars Hysterically funny!

To enjoy this, you have to think in terms of Ealing comedies and old fashioned fun. Rupert Everett is hyterically funny in both his roles. So what if it has a load of supermodels, a weak plot etc, it is still hysterically funny and was enjoyed by both teenagers and oldsters in our family. The fun is because it is so outrageous. It doesn't claim to be some complex movie, and it isn't. Enjoy it for what it is.
