i found this utterly dissappointing to be honest.
i expected more, and other than the sensational soundtrack, it has nothing to offer.
i struggled to watch it and found myself turning on my laptop to do some coursework i had been hoping to avoid.

this book isnt worth its price tag, if your genuinely desperate to see it, i'd save your money, and wait till its in the bargain bin.

I could barely watch this, it was awful. Extremely thin plot, you see what happens in the first ten minutes and then it just drags on for no reason!! How can anyone call this a comedy, where was the comedy!! Absolutely dreadful!!

I loved steve carell in little miss sunshine, but did expect a lot more from this film. It was a cute, original story, but wasnt really funny, if you don't ever see it then you won't be missing out on anything special. But it's good light hearted story for a night in.

When i first discovered this film all i knew was that it had steve carrell and was a romcom, after watching this film it is so much more. I like quirky films (like little miss sunshine and wes anderson films) and this film definitely has a unique appeal. The film is about a middle age man whos wife has passed away and is left to raise his 3 daughters alone, which he is content with, but through pressure from his family he realises that he must move on and so he meets a woman but it is not an ideal situation (no spoliers here). Even though this sounds like a dozen films you have probably seen before, this one has more heart and it is the interation between carrell and the woman he pines for that make this film enjoyable as well as the rest of the cast that help make the family seem believable .

very sweet film a great film for a heart warming story

I can't wait to get this, I can't believe it's taking so long when Enchanted for example is already almost out...
This was all about the dialogue and the gorgeous chemistry between all the characters. It made me laugh and cry - LOVE it.

I would say this film focuses more on the romance as opposed to the comedy however there is a comedic feel to the film too...centered on Dan this is his story of how his life is transformed in 3 days by meeting his suspected soul mate..

I recently travelled to the States and this movie was avialable, I watched it once, I watched it twice, and I wanna see it again. Steve Carrell is a great actor, and shows all his skills in this great Rom Com.

Finally a romantic comedy that is both funny and romantic. Steve Carell is absolutely marvelous and charming and lovely as Dan. See it and you want to see it over and over again. A rom-com like a rom-com should be made.
